IĘm quite happy with the result of the investigation. Not everyone is satisfied, but I suppose the only way to satisfy some people would be to have BoB disbanded and all the members banned.
IĘd like to clear something up, or at least put my perspective on it.
There has been a complete misunderstanding of what Dianabolic actual wrote in the 170-page thread. He said that he occasionally talks to ex-corp mates (friends) that are now working for CCP. He did NOT say that he circumvents the petition system to get ahead in game and the result of the current CCP investigation does prove this. He also said, it would be a problem if someone could bypass the petition system to rush through in game issues.
For the record I think Dianabolic was pretty stupid in posting those comments, as he added much more fuel to a fire that really didnĘt need stoking any further. Now I know Dianabolic in real life, IĘve been out for beers with him and such like. One thing I can say about him is that heĘs a stand up straight shooting guy ū he was simply being honest when he said that he, (personally not BoB as a whole), has friends working for CCP. He thought that honesty would be the best policy and that he had nothing to hide, as his conversations had no bearing on in game actions. This honesty was probably a little naive in hindsight.
IĘm sure this is probably the same for many people in many alliances though. I read a quote somewhere that said there was an even spread of developers throughout the top ten alliances (I need to find that quote ū I think it was in a CCP blog). So some people in other alliances will undoubtedly know developers, whether they are fiends or not is another question.
For those that read all of the big thread will know my constant message, which was quite simply ū if BoB have had preferential treatment or cheated with developer help, then CCP needs to admit it, apologise and ensure it never happens again. If we havenĘt (which I strongly believe we havenĘt) then we need to be exonerated form any wrong doing. I think this investigation clears the BoB leadership and player base of any misadventure.
We (BoB) want to win fair and square within the rules of the game, we donĘt want ęspecialĘ favours and we donĘt want to win by ęcheatingĘ. As IĘve said in other posts, most of the BoB leadership felt physically sick when we learnt the truth about the T20 affair. We are gutted that our in game achievements have been tarnished by one personĘs actions. I know how much hard work the BoB leadership and players have put in over the last 4 years, so to have that thrown into doubt doesnĘt still very well with me personally.
Anyway, IĘm glad this is coming to a close and we can get back to playing the game properly again. I hope those that didnĘt get the decision they wanted or expected can move on and start making plans to invade Delve.
