Just an FYI incase anybody else has a problem connecting to tranquility, the blocklists maintained at http://peerguardian.sourceforge.net/lists/p2p.php now include an entry for CCP games, so make sure to add them to your exception lists (87.237.38.200). _________________________________________________________

i tend to turn PG off when i'm playing eve anyway - since it sits inside both the firewall and the software firewall, and there are no torrents active, its not doing much at that point.

It might also be a good idea to find out why they were added to the blocklist..

Probably 'cause they have all the major MMO providers, such as blizzard in there.

I believe the IP was already on the blocklist and as CCP changed the routing tables and ran into the blocklist that way.

So an MMO server is on the block list of a service designed to protect illegal file sharers identities?
Makes very little sense doesnt it? -----

PeerGuardian does not make sense anyway, so in that context it makes sense

Someone reported CCP to the blocklists for a laugh I think, and they took it seriously.

Its to give you a false sense of security on the file sharing networks.

there is no security, true BUT
peerguardian blocks a lot of very suspicious outgoing traffic even if you dont use any filesharing programs. i just don't want to have my pc send data to any company i don't know. its a matter of privacy.

Simple answer is to override the block and permanently allow it. Works for me.

why bother with sutch programs... "you" wont get cought anyway, they only care about the organisations/big guys..
true is though that some "information" can be sent to various IP's etc.. but you already have more spyware doing that and internet page logs so why bother lol you cant avoid being tracked, spyware programs,IP blockers etc.. you cant block sites sending user info to database servers and tracking etc..
so imo and tbh peerguardian is not worth the resources it consumes from your computer doing something that is very pointless.
just uninstall it..
