There are Agents in EVE from Interbus. They got no really use at the moment. In further time it was a way to travel and for short time you could use it for positiv standing to all factions.
Now there is no storyline and no lp store, because no station in main system.
After a while mission running, most players see that standing to main enemy goes low. Another problem is the massive count of insignias a player need in lp store for some nice stuff. To reach that amount, you go very low.
My idea is as follows:
Allow players with standing to faction main enemy below or equal -2.0 to get a storyline agent which increase the standing to main enemy at least to use most bad quality agent for main enemy faction or selectable faction.
So every mission runner is able to get the chance running mission for the main enemy faction. He must earn his standing same way as he do for any other faction.
Another feature could be, that the player decide the faction which he want get up with. But he must have at least below -2.0. After reaching the right mark, no interbus agent available for the mission runner. Only one faction can be trained up in a row. Changing the faction, let the mission count at corp leads to zero for next storyline mission.
Also a roleplaying reason can support this idea. cause interbus is neutral to all, the storyline Agent is able to talk to some higher ranked people in the low standing faction to get them like the mission runner a bit more.
Hope more people like this idea and developers too.
Hafe fun

C'mon guys, many of you got problems with negative faction standing from mission running and want get some nice stuff out of lp shops in a regular way.
So make a comment on this thread for letting me know how you solve this circumstance and what Interbus corporation/faction should be stand for. Theres allways someone who knows more....

Every faction likes another. I have low standing with caldari, What I can do is work for a faction they like, this being mordus' legion, amarr and (very) few others.
Then, I get increase by derived standings to all the other factions that like the faction I'm working for. And my standings gets reduced to all the factions that dislike the faction I am working for. I would point to one thing : Caldari likes mordus around 8 or 9 while gallente dislikes mordus only by -2, this means the positive derived standing will increase faster on caldari than I will loose with gallente. But most interesting factions like mordus live in 0.0 and it's a bit hard to do missions there, you have to see with the local alliance and watch for roaming gangs...

Edited by: Lieutenant Fawkes on 02/08/2007 16:51:18 I like the idea of InterBus as a neutral Corporation and for recharging the Standing Loss to a point of -2.0
Also taking InterBus out of the game as it is done during the removing of Storyline-Missions is a bad thing. InterBus should at least play a neutral and important role.
An idea would be that InterBus has it's agents everywhere and you can use it to gain standing in the area, where you are at the moment. In this way you can use InterBus as a neutral Corporation to have access to from everywhere. You should not gain more standing as -2.0 due to this, because then all player with bad standing would only use InterBus to raise standing. It's another idea built-on the idea of Mr Fledermaus.
