With the recent actions by the Emperor's son, and the ignorance of the Emperor himself.. Not to mention the boiling anger of the Caldari such as myself and Gallente (and for sure Minmatar), are we at the brink of an intergalactic war? Surely the Amarr is the largest empire, but to risk open war for research of destruction is foolish. Does the Amarrian Emperor really want to shed more blood than from his slaves? But if so, it's time to step up fellow Caldari and Gallenteans!! This will be a war that has to be fought!! God i gotta change my sig..

Classically, the Caldari are on fair terms with the Amarr -- the enemy of our enemy is our friend, after all, and the Gallente occupy an interesting position between the Caldari State and the Amarr Empire.

Funny how Caldari/Gallente abondoned these scientists in the first place. Now they want to declare war on us because someone fronted their bounty?
Oh how I pity the lesser races.

This is probably what is going to happen. The Amarrian official stance will be to keep the scientists for themselves. However dissent will grow within the houses of the Empire and the four active houses will split (the fifth house, forgot which one, I believe has collapsed from lack of a leader). That or the Gallenteans will invade the Amarr empire and cause some damage, probably causing the split. When this split happens, the Minmatar will finally form a united front and assist the Gallenteans in the invasion. Meanwhile, the Caldari State will launch an attack on Luminaire during the chaos, not to aid the Amarrians, but to reclaim Caldari Prime from the Gallenteans. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

When I was a kid my favorite relative was Uncle Caveman. After school we'd all go play in his cave, and every once in a while he would eat one of us. It wasn't until later that I found out that Uncle Caveman was a bear. -jack handy |

Edited by: Darzerb on 20/02/2004 07:24:48 I don't even bother reading the official EVE news anymore. Mainly because 99% of the news doesn't do a damn thing in-game. We've had one large event since this game was released....I wouldn't get your hopes up on another one happening anytime soon. ------------------

Actually I would call these major events: - Rogue Jove invasion - Amarr Championships - Crielere defense - Struggle for the new Player-owned Stations
Plus numerous other smaller actions such as the liberation of Minmatar slave farms in recent The Scope news, and so on.
Also note that devs have stated that the tools they need to run the storyline properly are only just becoming available. So in general, your comment are just SO wrong in SO many ways...

Actually, they would be welcome to invade a few systems. They would of course never leave again, and certain ejected crew-members of the destroyed fleets would provide a welcome surplus stockpile of wenches for loyal Amarrians.
I hereby request the next patch should include a new Trade Goods item to be sorted under Luxuries - Gallente Wenches!

Wars have been brewing since the game was released last year according to the fiction... but to date the only 'wars' I've witnessed so far have been player corp Vs player corp.
'Bout time the different races got it on. We need a real war for once!

Because it will be so easy for us or because we will have so much gallente biomass that it will make our protein Delicat factories overworked again?
Its really nice to see your still eating your own people.

If there is a War coming up between the npc empires, how will this effect us? I mean, I¦m neutral to caldari, gallante and minmatar. Got some small but good standings with amarr. If there would b e war between amarr and caldari, can i still fly into caldari state or do i get shot or what?

Gallente declaring war on Amarr? Thats just ludicrous, hehe.
Its like asking for the Reclaiming to start anew, and no one but us wants that ;) ----------------------------------------------

what would be cool is a second minmatar rebellion. the gallente would help us out and the caldari would try but because their missiles take years to reach the amaar the war will be over before that. we would of course cripple the amaar and reclaim millions of slaves.

I suspect this to be a plotline to introduce either Bombers or Special Ops frigates to the game.

amarr declares war on minmatar, gallente comes to aid of minmatar: declares war on amarr, caldari see a chance to kill the gallente, side with amarr declare war on minmatar and gallente...sounds like good fun WW1 eve style
go bag me a few more minmatar slaves to clean the reactor core...old ones kept getting sick for some reason
oh yeah...good time to get some intervention by the jove...maybe open there borders or sumthing....

Hardly. I'd expect more diplomatic proceeds to flood the news forcast or else yet another cliche-"mystery" disappearance of another ship ferrying the scientists onboard.
