Since currently Controlled Bursts does nothing to Projectile Weapons, would adding an effect to the skill that increasd the ammo capacity for projectile weapons be overpowered? E.g. Each level adds 5% to the ammo storage capacity of projectile weapons.
My original sig was 'Enjoy lag free play in a dynamic space MMORPG'. It was removed for lack of EVE content! ;) |

Not a bad idea. But how would you explain firing in controlled bursts to allow someone to carry more ammo in the magazine? What would make more sense would be to increase damage and increase Rate of fire, explaining it away that the person is taking more time to aim and increases his accuracy(increasing damage done) by firing in quick bursts. -- stuff -- |

Reducing the ROF while increasing accuracy would do the same thing, and make more sense (fewer, well aimed shots). The end result would be an overall increase in sustained DPS due to fewer reloads, and would bring AC damage more in line with blaster damage with max skills. -----------------------------------------------

or introduce more skills.
one to benefit only launchers and projectile guns or perhaps also introduce skills to boost each combination of 2 weapons plenty of things to ajust reload time (any combo without lasers as they have no reload time already) weapon ammo capacety (also not for a laser) weapon signature resolution (missiles have this already, just add an additional affected weapon) something to reduce ammo size in the cargo hold.

I'm with Reatu on this, and not cuz we're in the same corp increasing both damage and rof so overall DPS remains the same but the clip lasts longer makes perfect sense with the skill name.

I have to disagree with the rof and dmg bonus.
Controlled bursts skill is for not wasting cap. Admittedly this is useless for Projectile users.
I say make 2 more skills, 1 which is useless for lasers, but works for projectiles and rails: One of these would be your bonus to ammo capacity skill. Won't help laser users at all. But it's a gunnery skill, and you train it if you want it.
The only remaining thing to do is come up with a skill that works for lasers and projectiles, but is not useful for railguns.
Clearly it is ok to have a skill which is non-useful for one of the turrets, so I think the idea is to simply balance it with more skills, rather than to imbalance it making controlled bursts do something for projectiles that railgun users would probably want too.

You use no cap by default and have one less skill to train. I fail to see what's bad about this and needs "fixing".
Only reason I can think of for this thread existance is that the OP bought and trained this skill, then realized it's useless to him and wants CCP to fix his mistake.

This skill is useless on projectile weapons as 'small energy turret' is to hybrids... Still, it could be using less ammo if we were counting rounds really... -- Pocket drone carriers (tm) enthousiast !
