Between the imminent introduction of Heavy interdicors and thier ability to tackle super caps, backed up by thier uber tanks and the imminent much vaunted CCP nerf of carriers and motherships...
The price of motherships has plumeted as everyone attempts to flog thiers on before the prices drop further. Today the prices plumeted to 20 bill! No longer are the producers of these ships able to rack up 100% profits on the sales of a MS. It is now imminent that they will soon reach the 17b mark, only 2 or so above build price.
Did the 20 or so MS owners on the WTS forum not see this coming? I sold mine last week for 23b and could now buy the same ship for 5 bill less a week later!
Any lower and god forbid i might buy one again, risk be damned !

Did you leave the cap booster on it?
Seriously, though, anyone who didn't see this price drop coming is blind. And it has a lot more to do with Sov 4 than with the changes to mothership tackling.

So you sold your mothership the moment it became clear that you could actually be tackled in low-sec?
I'm shocked.

The ms are now more reasonably priced but fitting is still expensive. Will it be worth doing a full officer fitting if a ms can be tackled and killed easily?

Well don't forget to reply to their WTS posts reminding about the nerf and make a thread in general discussion to try and drive the prices even further down and snatch a cheap MS for yourself. Oh wait, you're already at it

The only sad part about all of this is Miz was too savvy to get caught out and get his MS whomped.
Other than that all seems well in this regard.

Well... neither is anyone else seeing as that was the entire point of flying one in low sec.

Is it confirmed they can tackle in low-sec?

maybe if you count in invention Cerb baseprice ISK 17,950,950.00
almost want to do a spreadsheet showing what the base cost is using jita market prices.

Base-prices always refer to the base-price set by CCP, like Tritanium 1 isk and Zydrine 1024. As we all know, the market rarely match up with that price, so the build-cost could easily be a lot more...

yes because it sets a limit on bpo owners profits
that and i know the base price on a lot of t1 ships is more than the market price.

As always it's a supply and demand thing, many more alliances have sov 4 and can build their own, and the market of people that never leave lowsec has pretty much dried up (they being the sort of people that would 'have' to buy rather than build their own.

Well, there is that distinct possibility that your bid of 18b on that nyx (which I think is just above its component cost) and this thread are not connected in any way, and that the only reason you started this thread was to discuss the obvious

This ^
Mothership production within alliances would always reach a point where they would start to come to market in significant numbers, SOV 4 hastened that.

This one time, this one guy sold this really cool thing at a really high price, and then later bought the same exact thing at a much lower price, and like: he now had his thing... plus a ****load of money. That guy wasn't me by the way. ---

I believe that baseprice does not take the cost of the T2 Components into account, or the invention costs. Or at least, it values T2 Components much less than Jita does. -------------------- ICE Blueprint Sales FIRST!! -Yipsilanti Pfft. Never such a thing as a "last chance". ;) -Rauth |
