I am up to level 2 missions and enjoy running them. I always seen random buildings while running missions some of them are required for the mission most are not. My question is. Is it worth the time to blow these structures up? I have done it a couple of time and gotten some ammo and some exotic dancers but never anything really worth the time. Are some worth it? Is there a list?

There are a number of structures that drop loot, if something drops loot for you, then make sure to blow it up every time you get that mission. Mission sites like www.eveinfo.com and www.eve-survival.org will tell you which structures drop loot in which missions.

Edited by: PhantomMajor on 28/11/2007 01:43:52 when you start doing lvl 3 missions you start to get some interesting things in the buildings, "silence the informant" mission as a building called "the hub" in the last room...well worth popping !
Ladies and gentlemen, we will shortly be experiencing some exploding followed by some crashing...so i'd hold on if i were you! |

I am also lvl2 mission runner..and even if building "drop" loot...that loot is not worthy of time, in best case some L ammo maybe some uranium...but hey I am unlucky as hell put me in asteroid belt there will be no spawn for ages, the ships which I accidentally bump near bases...well their owner returns in pod in few hrs.
Someone wanted to exploit me as ultimate weapon, but he got poded and then DC so he did not finish conv.
Anyway I wish to say that maybe you will be better luck.
I consulted moralists to learn how to appear, philosophers to find out what to think and novelists to see what I could get away with and in the end it all came down to one principle:win or die. |

I always blow up all the structures in a mission, just because I don't like all the clutter in the overview. The vast and overwhelming majority of structures never drop anything, but a couple of them will drop something every time. Safe bets are the large stations in several missions, anything named "Armory", and a few others. That's not a guarantee that such structures will drop anything in a given mission; I know of several that don't.
But when you use drones to do it, it's not like there's a huge ammo expense. While my skills were low I was in the habit of collecting a set of small pulse lasers and short range (X-ray, multifreq) crystals so I could add in some bonus damage without it costing me anything in ammo.

Remove Large Collidable Objects from the overview then. I have a setting with just those on for the odd missions that drop loot but while fighting I keep them hidden. -- (Battle hardened industrialist)

Pfft. There's no fun in that. They explode real pretty, and I don't obsess over the whole isk/hour rate for my missions.
