Dear CCP,
When will you fix the major bugs within this game? As it stands now, I can't connect at all. I get to the Character Selection Screen, click the character, and I get the error of "EVE EXE has encountered a problem and will now close". Every time. So I uninstalled, now your classic client download is corrupt! I've downloaded it thrice, and each time it fails upon install claiming to be corrupt!
I'm not the only one experiencing this. If you check the Known Issues forum there's a thread, FIFTEEN pages now, with people all having similar problems. It's been weeks since Trinity patch and there is still no solution or fix.
I don't care if your troubleshooting team is overworked, I don't care if the job description of most of the staff doesn't include troubleshooting, I don't care if you have shiny new graphics, I don't care if you promise me riches in my future, I only care about my game working, and working as intended. I don't want to have to figure out how my computer works, where to input this command line, what file to copy where, or how to copy logs. I'm not going to bughunt for you, because you guys do have this little section of your team called Bughunters!
It's not an excuse to claim that so and so is only in charge of ships toilet assembly, and so they can't fix the client or it's bugs. If that's true, then it's obvious your troubleshooting team and your QA team are failing and not doing their jobs. Fire the lazy bastards and hire people who really do work.
Seriously, this game would be better if EA were behind it. That should never be the case.
Yes I'm mad. Yes I'm ranting. No I don't care if I get flamed. No I won't adapt. Yes you can have my stuff, just send me a 10m deposit first.

If you cant even download and install a .exe file, something is terribly wrong.
...and its not CCP

Quoting for epic quantities of truth.
I agree with Marie, and no not just because we're in the same corp. CCP's work just isn't up to par these days. The graphics update DID alleviate client-side lag significantly during PVP. The ships also look fantastic. But lens flares and high fps does not a good client make.
But bug testing is something that is obviously lacking, otherwise we wouldn't have so many easy to find bugs in the, I don't know, new GUI for instance. And I don't mean unusual bugs, I mean constantly occuring bugs. Like why the **** won't my local stay put when I relog. And what about that server load balancing bit that was being talked about, wasn't that slanted for trinity release or am I just remembering wrong? Don't tell me they're working out the kinks, because tbfh that's something they're evidently doing very little of in the way of everything else atm.
Want proof? One word: boot.ini. The reason they claim the boot.ini issue happened was they were unsure of how to format a piece of code. Guess what guys! When you're not sure about something, you make sure

That boot.ini error cost me my hard-drive, glad I had most things backed up. Spent ages to dell system support and after an hour they didnt know what to do lol. Couldnt even reinstall windows as the missing file wouldnt let me . Only found out that it was the new eve install the day after I had to do a system restore....

Sorry but in what part of the post did the OP state they didn't like the game ?
The OP doesn't like NOT being able to play the game and tbfh I don't blame him/her/whatever.
At the end of the day you pay for something it should do the job it's designed to do, at the moment eve is only working at 75% but they are still charging us 100% there are so many bugs at the moment that the game feels as though it's still in beta (not long out of Alpha) and just lately we hear less and less from the Devs about what is going on.
It seems to me like they have just lost interest because they've discovered that the game just cannot handle the amount of people now playing, there are daily lag spikes (and don't come the old 'lag may not be CCP's fault' because I don't get lag on anything else) it's the goddam servers straining to keep up pure and simple and I think they've created a monster that they now don't know how to fix so they have given up and just do a little here and there to keep it from completely falling over.
There now see what you made me do

A smart move when commenting on someones post is to read the whole thing. However, since you obviously missed the second paragraph, I decided to quote it. Just for you. Here, read it.

theres obviously something seriously wrong with your pc if you cant dload the installer without it being corrupt. which might also point to the other problems your having, unfortunately ccp are not liable for your poor computer knowledge or dodgy pc so complain to the correct people.

I had plenty of problems when Trinity was released. They lasted about a week, most of them. Only a couple bugs and errors remain, and they're more annoying than prohibitive. I can still play the game at least. I'm sorry you're having much more trouble. I hope it gets fixed enough soon so you can enjoy this game again. ---

Though they do employ bughunters and QA staff members, they also depend on the community to assist in testing. I guess the 300-600 people that can be found on SiSi practicing fleet movements, ganking, ship fittings, and riskless PvP should be blamed as well. Though boot.ini was a huge error, it could of been worse and really it was limited to a small portion of the product released and was caught quickly thanks to the community.
Quick, I snapped my fingers and everything should be perfect... NOW!!!
I think you all forget the amount of pressure we all place of the Devs to get a product out. We tend to be one of the harshest communities around with some of the most community active developers. This is an ever growing project for them and they are also developing as a company. Remember how Valve was with Half-Life and what abuse we gave them to patch the client and get the multiplayer netcode stable for our crappy 56k connections? You should be happy they are still putting the effort forward to Eve and not placing it ont he back burner for the WoD project. With growth comes pains and we will all feel them... seems you need the good old eve break, maybe you should train level 5 on a 12x skill and breath a bit. I got this bug when I installed nHancer on Vista. EVE would simply not work anymore, even after removing nHancer completely, and it took a system restore before I could even install EVE again.
So. Try a system restore to the point where it was working. If that fails: Format C:
