Ok I started playing last night. The tutorial gagged on me twice so i just dropped it.
There is alot I have no clue about. But after reading here I think the best way for me to go forward may be to go back home and see my agent. Maybe I could learn some more there?
Why dont these damn games come with manuals that actually tell you how to play?
Anyway my first night, and I got 5 bounty's. Heh I killed one pirate cause i didnt know how to do anything but charge straight at him, and turm on my little gatling gun. The next time, i called in a vet player who was nearby, and because i was hanging with him. I got another kill, and a share of his 3 kills.
I am now parked in a sec lvl .32 system. And a NOOB at that. HAHAHAHAHA. Well I had tritanium and no one wanted to buy it. I had no money cause the dang tutorial dumped, so I looked at where I could sell it. The only place that offered 2 ISK per, was 12 jumps away. So off I went. I figure I would jump into the system and sell and leave. But after looking at the asteroid field, greed got the better of me.
Problem is I dont know how to fight well, and I need to buy some better guns. How do I learn to use high power lasers on my noob frigate?
Anyway any help would be aprreciated.

1isk per unit is the usual price for Tritanium. I'm sort of new myself so I'll only tell you what I know worked good for me.
Hope over to Duripant and mine Plagioclase asteroids. In a newbie ship you can get around 4000ISK per run. Upgrade to a ship with more cargo room when you can afford it. This is onl my third day and I've already earned around 350,000ISK this way.

I think everyone with at least level 1 in Gunnery and level 1 in the weapon skill (such as Small Hybrid Turrets) of their choice can fight. It's all of the other skills you pick and train along with these two basics that make you a better fighter. Of course the weapons you choose and/or ammo make a difference too. Skills make you more...skillful when using them. :) Q.E. New Dawn Corp.

Yes one of the best things to do is mine ores and make money that way. Feel free to check out http://eve.porksoda.net - he has a VERY good resource for ores and how much they are worth. The 3 best ores, besides omber (which I'll get to), are Scordite (always can sell these minerals), Pyroxeres, and Plagioclase. Omber, on the other hand, is a better ore to mine according to NPC prices, but normally because Isogen is not in as much demand as the other minerals, you don't often get even NPC price for it.
Also, get in the habit of checking on prices and availability of items in the Radioactives and Luxury Items Trade goods - many times you can find a half-way decent trade route spanning several regions in those items.
