Ok just got mine working again, its a problem with running in windowed mode.
I had to play around with the resolution so I could get to eve setings.

I've had that before. I had to delete everything in the local Eve cache folder on my PC, and then the Eve window appeared as normal (but in default settings of course).

get the same problem from time to time. i think it's something with the ccp ads window that appears sometimes at the login screen (e-on news or such spam). start the game in safe mode with "eve.exe (Safe Mode).lnk" in your eve folder. close that pop-up and it should work. this helps me.

I have tried both removing everything from the bulkdata (all the cache files) and still not working, have tried starting it in safemode, neither one helps. I am wondering if it had something to do with leaving it on all night? I woke up and my monitor was saying no signal, however I can start other applications, pirates of the buringsand and other games, just Eve Won't start, just sits in the task bar doing nothing.

Try changing your desktop resolution to something else and start EVE.

Thank you very much, wouldn't have thought of that, I guess when I exited Eve, it went to Windowed mode and went all wonky on me, sory I know that wonky is not a technical term, but still thanks a ton.

I had a similar issue 2 patches ago, tried clearing cache folder with no joy - right clicked the short cut on the start menu and set to run in 256 colour mode.
This resolved it for me although the initial splash loads in 256 colours before eve settings take over - not really a 'fix' but hey lets me play!
