same issue with me... launcher just gets stuck at the validation screen. on a side note, I am able to go into the CCP/EVE/BIN and launch the exefile.exe file with no issues, errors or problems. Additionally I have checked my firewall to make sure...

The same thing happened to me in my Cerb once I jumped through my first gate and it did not correct it's self until I docked at a station. All my other visual effects worked just fine ...
