42. texturing on stargates and stations - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Here here Bubba Fett, I whole-heartedly agree! I have been trying desperately to try and fix this problem. I have now noticed it in other games, but it's not so glaringly obvious. I think it must be possible for CCP to make a change to the graph...

43. texturing on stargates and stations - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Thanks Qrac. Although you explained very well, I'm sure that there are possible solutions that could be implemented by CCP. EVE is not the first game set in space, but it is the first that I have ever seen this 'flimmering' phenomenon. Also, many ...

44. texturing on stargates and stations - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Perhaps the problem is that EVE does not define the z-buffer precisely. Serious Sam will select the first z-depth available, 16 bits, maybe EVE does too. Perhaps if EVE were to specify a 24-bit Z, rather than leaving it to the default, flimmering ...

46. texturing on stargates and stations - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Edited by: Torgar Delzoun on 16/10/2003 09:35:50 Qrac - Sorry if I'm just being thick here, but doesn't the article to which you kindly linked us show that CCP have set zNear too close to the eye, resulting in 'flimmering'?

48. Pirates in Sarum Prime - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
So, why didn't some of you guys camp at the jump-in points of adjacent systems and, using the same tactics, pod Biomass Cartell guys on their way out? If the EVE universe is shrunk to the goldfish bowl size of one solar system, it won't be long b...

51. Ore thief - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
May I add that as a solo miner I fill up my can and then pop back to base to switch with my Indy and then pick up the Ore. It's a ****ty experience when some cheeky w*nker just drifts up and starts emptying my can and there's bugger all I can do. ...

54. Keep EVE tidy... - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
Well this was just an RP way of stopping lagsploiters from dumping a zillion cans by gates and stations. Give'em 30seconds to pick them up again before the sentrys 'clean up'.

55. Keep EVE tidy... - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
In the interests of aesthetics. Any cargo canisters, flotsam or general garbage remaining in the vicinity of any jump-gate or station should be summarily destroyed by the sentry turrets. In this way we can keep the EVE universe clean and tidy for...

59. Collecting garbage - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before. I think that all items should either have a minimum sell value of 1isk or there should be a small fee to have unwanted and worthless equipment taken away. Then I could rid myself of n00b equipment, pod...
