How about simply stopping damage mod stacking madness. Allow only one damage mod per ship and it will make a big difference.

It is Tobias but he doesn't drop anything. I use Infernos on angel missions and it is very much ok. There armor is weaker to explosives but their shields are quite resistent against it. Thermal damage is a good compromise. For shields i use amp, X...

I've done that mission several times in an Apoc with 6 mega beam II and 2 sieges firing infernos. Definetly doable in an Apoc like neraly all missions. Doing it in raven i much faster though.

Maybe you should let s know, how your skills are. A well fitted ship is still nothing in the hands of an untrained pilot. Besides that you should kick out that cap rech you have in low which can only be a cap relay, i suppose.

its been some time since i used the apoc for missions. I used a similar fitting with beams instead of pulse. For sure you need 2 siege with torps. Second thing I used for freespace was a mwd. just warped in at 60, turned around gave the mwd 1 or 2...
