"Can anyone tell me why my Eagle couldn't pop a stationary Executioner with a 400mm plate in less than 12 volleys?" Iron ammo, no 3rd damage mod, no tech 2 turret damage bonus, low base skills. It all adds up, unfortunately.

"Clearly you havent read the thread, please do so. The vengeance isnt a "no drawback ship", its slow, heavy and doesnt serve a role other than bait. It doesnt kill frigates well, it doesnt lock down larger ships well, it doesnt kill cruisers well...
