I do think that the cap usage on pulse lasers should be increased dramatically. Perhaps the range on pulse lasers needs to be looked at, especially on the battleship where the mega pulse lasers can reach far far out. I would also like to see tachyons damage increased along with a boost on cap usage.
THANK YOU! Thats exactly what I am trying to say! I have no problem with the dmg on megapulses either and just think that they should take more cap, and maybe lose a little range. But most of all, Tachs need a dmg boost and cap boost to something like what I said before...

 How many times do I have to say that I AM NOT TRYING TO NERF LASERS! Making Megapulse take more cap is a slight nerf, but makes it more fair, and giving tachs a dmg boost is FAR from a nerf. Now unless you are using the term "laser" for megapulse (as some people sadly have on this post, which shows something is wrong ) then lasers ARENT going to get a nerf. Please people, read my changes and other posts before you go off saying that I am trying to nerf lasers.
But I agree with you that projs need a boost, but that is for a different thread and god knows there are enough of them.

Yes true, very true, but the problem is that in the class of lasers, for the megapulse lasers range it out dmgs the tachyon (which can only be used well on a apoc) too much, esp when its on a geddon, and esp since the tachyon is supposed to be in a higher class. There is almost no use for them and rarely will you see a apoc flying around with 6 of them instead of 8 megapulses for PvP, esp since they only do 2% more DOT than a megabeam (nothings wrong there???). Tachs need to get boosted to what I said to make them a viable option on the apoc.

Heh, ya sorry Mitram, but they arent comparable. Megapulse have around 3x the range and takes less to fit (actually less cap on an amarr ship with decent skills )than Blasters. You are right as in the megapulse is the close range weapon of the lasers, but just the given fact of 3x the range on the Megapulse makes them incomparable to Blasters.
Also I have never said I wanted to nerf the megapulses dmg at all, just its ease of use.
