personally i think that that would be way overpowered, so i really hope they dont do it. sure, we'd learn to live with it i guess... but it would just be annoying :P

Well if the chat changes are implemented (no one show sup in local in 0.0) warp to thins on your scanner wouldn't be a bad thing.
My thats was dastardly. |

Given that I just set my scanner to 210000000Km range and see everyone in system, what, pray tell, with the local changes do?

I got this form the "In testing" page
"Elite Frigates are fast and very specialized ships. They are more expensive but will give you an advantage in their particular field There are five Elite Frigate classes: -Interceptor -Covert Ops Frigate -Escort Frigate -Bomber -Mining Frigate "
It doesnt say anything about a black op firg. Did the devs say that there are going to be black op firgs?

Now THAT'S a PvP/Pirate's response if I ever heard one
What?, you don't like that the people that feel no desire to partake in pvp activity can, if their ship is fitted right and have a safepoint bookmark, simply warp away to somewhere safe where you can't get at them without difficulty?
Thankfully it doesn't look like you will get your wish any time soon, if ever.
"Don't look conspicuous; it draws fire." "Never draw fire; it irritates everyone around you." "The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle."

1. If you dont want to partake in pvp, dont enter pvp heavy areas. If you do enter, dont whine.
2. Running away can easily be achieved by warping to a moon, they have of course a chance to follow you, but several moons at one planet and warp in distance setable from 15-60km help a lot to not get directly ganked again.
Safespots only real use is evading an enemy for a long time, without needing to do anything. The only valid reason for them imho is that ppl need to take biobreaks* from time to time. Apart from that, they are really annoying, for both sides in any conflict, cause you often end up sitting in safespots or waiting for ppl to leave safespots much much longer than you actually maneuver or fight.
Edit: Last i heard so called long range scanning is shiva material, and seems closely tied to the new tactical display.
*My solution: You should not be allowed to warp to any deepspace bookmark in the first place. if you have some urgent biological bussiness, you can warp to a moon and log out, which warps you into safety. You should not be able to cancel the warping back on login. Problem solved. (if not, give me a hint why)

because its called "outer space" and not, "stargate, planet, moon, asteroid belt".
