I know at least of few of you have done some levels 5 missions. What kind of gang is necessary to pull these off? 2-3 battleships? Could a carrier solo a level 5?

I think a carrier could, but the key is, it could only solo the level 5 missions that have no accel gates.
The primary reason you can't solo in other ships is because of all the neut towers.
So I've heard it is possible to solo in an uberly passive tanked Nighthawk.
Otherwise, you need some way of keeping each other alive and full of cap.
I'm not sure what the minimum is on a gang, considering it is possible to solo some of them, you might be able to do it with just two people.

Passive tanked nighthawk, ishtar, broadsword or onyx should do for tank (depending on dmg types dealt) with a bs for dps. Raven works well.

One of my questions on LVL 5s is:
Can 2 chars complete all level 5s?
ie: 1 char focusing on tank and DPS dealer.another for logistic service.
Any useful info?

Yes it is possible to do all lvl 5's with 2 characters but each mission requires a different setup. For example that some would just require a raven with 2 large shield reps. Some require a domi with 3 shield reps and a trunk full of ogre II's and some require a Logistic ship's.
You need to have a range of skills on your support character or damage dealer and a Would suggest a NH for 80% of the missions as the Tank.

Yes.
One passive tanked vulture to get accro and suffet the energy neutralizer sentries.
One Raven/CNR/Golem for DPS. Make sure it can tank a little and also fit a remote shield transfert on it to help the Vulture in some missions.
It can run all missions except maybe these few with NPC carrier and fighters.
This has surpassed the Yarrdware specification and has been dubbed Uberware. |
