Had an 8v8 raven type fight all the missles froze the system for about 5-12 minutes and made alot of ppl log,we ended the fight due to lagg.

yesterday that was the most horrible lag expierience i ever saw ^^
modules wont active, and my mouse wasnt moving either
i had 40 vs 40 battles before which ran much more smoothy ^^

I think players should be able to disable rendering in fleet battles if nessesairy - might fix the problem.
what's your current puter set-up? and what internet connection do you have? cause i've noticed a huge decrease in lag during Fleet/huge mining/hunting ops since i upgraded my puter. ------------------------------------------------ A Plague is comming.... |

I've had severe lag problems since the last patch, and since then only one thing has changed, and thats the patch. Running the same pc on the same isp. Its been like chalk and cheese
If i warp to a gate camped by the enemy (10 ships) you can gaurentee i'm dead before i even see them. I'll warp to the gate fine and dandy, nobody there, my mods won't work though, next thing i know i'm in a brand new clone back at HQ.
I'm just glad i'm a frig / Cruiser pilot

im still playing on the same PC, and a 2000x with 1GB ram and adsl should be able to handle a small encounter ^^ Wanna fly with me?

i watched the battle on lifewires computer.
while the game wouldn t freeze completly, some functins simply didn t work at all and having any coordinated tactic was impossible.
every option that has even the slightes chance to reduce lag would be great. i do believe that drones and missiles cause a lot of trouble. turning off at least their graphics might be a good start.

I find criminal flagging to be the cause of all my lag issues.
I can fight several corpmates at the same time with no lag, can activate and deactivate modules with no lag what so ever.
If someone attacks me, when i first return fire i get a slight lag, nothing really worth talking about, but as soon as the first few seconds pass, im ok, and can activate and deactivate modules with no lag at all.
But...if i shoot at somebody and im the agressor...im dead, ill lag for some 2-5mins, or until that person warps out, and it isnt graphic lag, i click one gun, warp scrambler nos or launcher and it takes 2-5mins to activate if i want to deactivate a module it takes the same time.
Npc hunting is fine, id imajine mining id be fine, flying through space is fine...but attacking another player is a big no no

But please for the love of god.. These new "changes" to the GFX, add them as options we can turn on and off as we please.. Dont force us that dont need it to "suffer" from these changes.
Add options so we can turn on if we need it, and off if we dont. ------------- Most tired of thing atm: - Mods on the forum saying: "Please use the bug report page to submit bugs, the forum is not the place to post them." and then closing a topic. |

it must only be for me, though, i can perfeclty render everything in 30vs30 combats, UNTILL i activate ANY module. that just lags my computer to smithereens. --------------------------

However - i remember the game 6 months ago and never had lag in fleet battles 10 vs 10 or 30 vs 30. My puter is still the same and only things i changed is the EVE-version and a driver: cataclysm. Especially the last patch messed it up.

Hmm, might I make a suggestion to maybe help out the dev team. Use the Logserve program in the Eve directory. Eeveryone or just about 30 of you split into two teams and replay the events of last night. Just don't shipkill anyone :) Then everyone send the logserves to the Dev team so they can try to figure it out. /emote shrugs. Don't know if this would help them any, but seemed like a decent appraoch....

At this point I'd be happy if I could fight NPCs with lag. Anytime there's a spawn, no matter how small, I go into slide show mode (this is in Khanid space, btw). It's a real pain when you have to wait a minute between clicking a weapon, and having it fire.
