I'm looking to change my moa's set-up to deal more damage quicker and still make it in pvp.
My current set-up is as follows:
[High]: 4 250mm carbines with antimatter(optimal:20,286m falloff: 13,800m) 2 malkuth heavies with emp and kinetic missles
[Med]: 1 Med sb II 2 Tactical shield hardeners, changed depending on what I expect to tank 1 cap recharger 1 (swaped out for another tactical hardener or webber when needed)
[Low]: 3 Power diagnostic system 1s 1 capacitor flux coil
[Drones] 2 hammerheads 1 light drone of choice
I have 1209 cap with a recharge of 158 seconds
This set-up allows me to easily kill an attacking frig, most cruisers, and only damage a bs before I'm taken out. any suggestions on how I could improve this set-up? Also Its been suggested to me to use 2 magnetic stabilizer IIs in 2 low slots by trading out 2 power diags and adding a reactor control unit, but I can't tank with the lowered cap recharge rate (248 seconds).

Lose the flux coil for a Magnetic Field Stab I would think. Maybe put a tracking mod in the mids.
Apart from that, not much else you can do but buy a Thorax

4 diags, ditch the recharger for a boost amp.

I'd drop down to 200mm rails, and switch to armour repair, hardener(s) and cap power relay(s) in the low slots. Switch the mids to cap rechargers, tracking computer, or what ever else you use.
Armour based defense is significantly more effective than sheild based defense under current rules and the moa has enough low slots, use them.

Its got enough low slots yes but the MOAs armour is pretty weak so i wouldnt recommend it :/
I used the following for PVE / PVP
High Slots
4x250mm Compressed Coil guns 2xmalkuth/limos normal launchers
Med Slots
1xTech2 Med shield booster 1xNamed Targetting Computer 2xNamed shield hardeners ( normally heat and em dmg types )
Low Slots
1xTech 2 Tracking Enhancer 1xRCU 2xTech 2 Mag Field Balancers
This hits frigates pretty consistantly up to about 15km range, light missiles can take them out if they get too close or drones can be deployed.
I get an optimal range of about 28km with AM ammo or 60km optimal with iridium. The AM ammo will hit cruiser sized targets pretty well up to about 40-45 anyway.
If i decide to do a bit of PVP with it then i simply remove the mid slot tracking computer and fit a webber / scrambler or dampener or something.
The damage output atm lets me kill 40k depredators in about 6 volleys of 250mm fire.

Just curious, has anyone tried using a tech 2 large booster on the Moa instead of the medium? My Moa has around 1400 shields without PDUs on, so using mediums even the tech 2s isn't much on them. Normally this is what I use.
hi 4x 250mm Rails (Scouts or compressed coil) 2x Advanced Limos, or Malkuth heavies
mid Med shield booster II (thinking about tech 2 large) prototype I sensor booster or tracking computer 2x stasis web or 20k scrams or a combo of the 2
lo RCU I PDU I Sensor amp I Overdrive Injector I (changing for dmg mod)
Gets around 20k optimal on the rails with AM, and good dmg which works great for fleet pvp since its perfect range for the 20k scrams.

The problem with sticking a large SB on a moa is the CPU it takes. 100TF iirc. This could seriously gimp ya weapons/launchers if u try to run 4x250's and 2 heavies, which most people do. I have tried it and it is ok if u dont mind dropping some of the firepower.
I have actually used a moa with an XL-C5L. Could only fit small guns and assault launchers but no cruiser (and i had 3 of them) shooting me could get my shield down past 50% with 2 hardners on.
The other problem with using large SB is it sux ya cap dry. Make sure u use PDU/Cap chargers if u are going to do it. With the upcoming second bonus this will definately be a viable tactic thou i like my 250's too much.
For magic my setup is:
4x250 proto gauss (the best 250 but quite pricey) 2xarbalest heavies
2xhardners 1xMedium C5-L SB 1x10mn AB II (if pvp i fit another hardner or a boost amp)
2xRCU (havent got skillz for tech2 yet) 1xtech2 tracking enhancer 1xtech2 Magfield Stab
I use antimatter all the time. Get a range of over 40k with skillz + moa bonus + extra range the proto gauss's give. Can kill most cruiser in less than 10sec (NPC) and frigs drop even quicker (1 or 2 salvo's).

I fit:
Hi: 4 250 rails (2 PGG, 2 Scouts) 2 XR Heavy Launchers
Med: Named Clarity Shield Booster Named Kinetic hardener Named Tracking Computer Named 17.5% Cap recharger
Low: RCU PDU Named Hybrid Damage Mod Overdrive I
With this setup and about 3.4 million SP I do L3 agent missions, most of the time I never get below 90% shields.
I get an optimal of around 60k with Tungsten, and hit about 95% of the time. I get shots of 35-40 points normally. Combined with Heavy FOF missiles it's pretty simple. I usually switch to standard heavy missiles for multiple cruiser spawns, but the FOF missiles are great to just click on and let them hit whatever they want.
