We were all born about 50 years too soon.. well, at least I was (I'm kinda old). It's sort of exciting to be there in the early days of commercial space exploration, but I sure would love to see where we are 100 years from now.
Then again, when the movies 2001 and 2010 came out, people thought that's really where we'd be in those years.... not quite...
BTW, if nothing else, this will likely lead to technology that can help divert an asteroid that we discover to be on a collision course with Earth. |

I think a few people didn't read the article. We aren't sending people into space with a couple of jackhammers, we're sending a satellite with some chemicals up there.
And the gold we mine will not be free. In fact it won't even cover the cost of the launch for several years. |
