i tried to read the mega thread but i am non the wise and after fiddling around with it for an hour or so i am motion sick from the twirling blue grid spheres and almost blinded by the aggressive white where they overlap.
i have warped to the star. i put out 5 combat probes, i have positioned them (i think) using the boxes and judging by the other objects on the map they are about 2au apart with a scan range of 4 au. my scan results are definately in the cross section of all probes. i checked.
i have results on ships 100% strength yet i can not warp to them and i dont get any scan results on the map (yes scan results are enabled).
when i close the map and reopen all probes are on top of each other and i have to reposition them again. when i look in space they are all on top of each other and they wont move. they wont return to my ship either.
is there a tutorial any where cause clearly i m too stupid to understand what i am supposed to do

Right now the probes are broke so they are not moving.
you need four probes to pinpoint using 3 planes or x y & z. currently with the probes not moving it is close to impossible to do the z axis. there is a good tutorial if I find it I will link it.
But for now probing is busted.

Partially fixed actually means not fixed at all. You can warp your probe results around all day, but if you can't get a visual confirmation of a hit, well then.
