Have the dev's entered jump lock into being a real bug yet. This bug has cost my corp 2 ships today so far. It would be really nice if this got fixed SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The bug is: You click jump and nothing happens, click it again and nothing, do it 10 more times nothing. You never know if you are going to jump or not. Your ship could just sit there and never jump. |

well, one thing i noticed that'll get you into this bug, is when you click jump coming out of warp but still travelling above your normal top speed. this gets you into a "stargate jump in progress" cycle that can last bloody long to sort itself.
I always watch my speedometer to drop below my normal top speed before jumping manually.

To fix it you should select a warp to a different object, waiting until "Warp Drive Active" appears, then cancel it. Select "Jump" and it should work.

... or just set a destination, use your BMs like always and just press AP during warp to gate and off after you start cloaking...

it happens a lot of different ways the biggest and most noticable is when coming out of warp.
I just lost a ship to sitting on the gate for 10 min without doing anything, then clicked jump when 4 rona kia battleships showed up. No jump tried to warp then jump, nothing. I tired to force it by logging out, has worked for me when i was jump locked really bad before. Didn't work, logged back into a pod and not my ship on the other side. |

when this occureed with me, using instas, i usually just need to "stop" "approach" and then reselect "jump". The problem usually occures (for me) due to clicking jump to soon, ie in warp, and as the comand is still active all other attempts to jump are ignored by the game. any other comand usually rests this.

Its hard to click it too fast when you have been sitting on the gate for 5 min at 0 meters not moving attacking or anything for the past 5 min.
The jump lock while using insta's is a chance that you take. But when it starts happening with none of the other factors involved its become a bigger Bug. And needs to be looked at Right Away. |

The way to avoid the problem is wait until you are out of warp. When the speed bar jumps is a perfect indicator.
The answer is NOT to stretch the forums because you couldn't figure this out in game.

ok guy i guess you can't read, the problem is more than just coming out of warp now. I was just sitting there and it did it. I was not coming out of warp. I had been there for 5 or more minutes at 0 meters away from the gate.

Were you attacking the npcs at the gate by any chance?
That's the only other time I've ever seen that happen.
Since then I've avoided firing at them and have never had this problem again.
Just to be clear this is the "jump in progress" thing right?
BTW: I'm not trying to flame you. Just think for a sec, thousands of jumps are occuring per minute in the game just fine. More than likely it is either on your/my end or it is a bug that is hard to reproduce. Making the post hard to read by stretching it isn't going to help it get resolved any faster.

not trying to stretch anything, it started as a simple bug question. I guess no one knows if it is a real bug yet or not.
When i said that i was just sitting there i meant it. I wasn't doing anything.
NPC killing at a gate does not agression flag you as it did before. If that is what you were refering to.
Its very hard to say it was on my end and not CCP's when the damage my ship took went through very easily and showed up right away. That is the reason that I say it has to be a bug on CCP's side.
Don't read more into a simple post than is there. I just wanted to know if it the dev's have entered it as a real bug yet. I would like some kind of eduacated answer on that one. But i guess it would be another we are going to fix it soon thing anyway.
Does the MOD squad know anything about this one????? |

This also happens with session changes. i.e. if you join/leave a gang you cannot dock/jump etc immediately. The problem persists if you keep on clicking to jump/dock as it seems that sometimes the session change timer is reset. What always works for me is after I get the first error message, I wait 20 seconds or so and then click to jump.

I think what he meant by "stretching" the forums was your long word that won't wrap, hence making your post wider then the browser, hence forcing us to scroll horizontally or stretch browser.

I had this happen twice in a 52 jump run, each time I could correct it by simply hitting the stop sign (god I hate that icon) to stop the "jump process", thrusting in any direction enough to get your ship to move, then hitting jump again.
