Without the plate and nano, we have: Speed: 3517m/s EHP:2891 Align time: 3s vs 2.7s + 2 free slots ofc to put what exactly? There are 17cpu, 13 pg left so no BCU; could do BCU + Coproc, but ... is that better?

This is my gang malediction setup:
[Malediction, my setup] Overdrive Injector System II Overdrive Injector System II Overdrive Injector System II
Catalyzed Cold-Gas I Arcjet Thrusters Warp Disruptor II Sensor Booster II
Standard Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Sabretooth Light Missile Standard Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Sabretooth Light Missile Standard Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Sabretooth Light Missile Salvager I
It does roughly 42 dps, but lets be honest it's a gang ship not a solo ship. with my skills it goes 5.1km/s. Every thing fits but it's very tight (42.3/43.75 PG). If you do not have perfect fitting skills it wont fit, just downgrade the launchers to 'Malkuth' standards.
The reason I don't use rockets are that they are far too close range and the added dps from the ship bonus only makes about a 29% difference in dps, but the added range is roughly 400% (range on rockets is 10km and standards its 42km).

I've got something similar. I use Malkuth Standards to make everything fit, and switch out the SB to a CR II, to make the ship cap stable. Once I train up my cap skills more, I'll probably switch it out in exchange for the SB. Obviously the purpose of this ship isn't going to be DPS - why would you fit a BCU? The OP's first fit is strange too - for a long range ceptor, fitting a plate is simply ******ed. You will die to the first MWD rifter you come across.

My setup's identical, except I throw in some nanofibers for the inertia modifier. I find that being to able to orbit tighter and faster is more useful than the 100-300m/s you get from the overdrives. If you really want the speed, you could throw on two aux thrusters for like 10m. The standard launchers work really nice, though I usually just leave the last high empty.

Surprised not to see any targeting range mods. Do you feel the ability to tackle outside of heavy neut range is not worthwhile?

Highs: Best 3 guns you can fit/have highest skills with (lasers might be a bit too cap intensive however) for pewpewing drones, Salvager I Meds: SeBo II, 24km point, Gistii B-Type MWD Lows: OD II x2, DC II
Points at 30km with max skills, 36km overloaded, has a locking range to match with unscripted SeBo
