The next major update for EVE is aptly named. With this update many new technologies will be unleashed onto the universe and they are sure to make the universe much more fun to live in, however at the same time, much more dangerous. It is unfortunate but true that many corporations will not be able to contend with the changes that Shiva will bring and will fade away. Hadean Drive Yards will rise to the challenge as it has done for the past 2 years. It will remain steadfast in this time of change and will go on leading the way for much of the EVE universe in shipbuilding.
What is Hadean Drive Yards?
Hadean Drive Yards is one of the older corporations in the EVE universe. Its CEO, Michael ôOverkillö Carter, formed the corporation in early beta and has led the corporation to the forefront of the shipbuilding market. With over 1 year of registered trading on the EVE market Hadean Drive Yards is rapidly expanding its ability to supply ships to its cliental. Recently, through the hard work of its dedicated member base it has managed to procure three Tier 2 original battleship blueprints in only 45 days! Roughly equated that means that HDYÆs members worked together mining, trading NPC hunting, and selling ships to make over 3,400,000,000 ISK in just over one month. Other ships in the HDY catalog include every Frigate, Cruiser and Industrial class vessel available. Furthermore, HDY prides itself on being one of the only corporations able to manufacture and sell the Raptor class interceptor.
Why join Hadean Drive Yards?
Hadean Drive Yards has one of the most unique and effective methods of running a corporation in the EVE universe. The structure of HDY is organized into a paramilitary format with the corporation being split into three divisions. The Executive (EXEC) division, the Logistics (LOG) division, and the Military (MIL) division are constantly working together to keep the corporation running at maximum efficiency. Within these divisions are subdivisions in which members are divided up into depending on their preferred mode of play in the EVE universe, their ability to play, and their dedication to the corporation. Perhaps most importantly, members are NOT promoted simply on the basis of length of service or who they know in the corporation.
Like the structure of HDY, the way members contribute to the corporation is also unique. Members contribute in the form of ISK from agent missions, NPC Pirate Bounties, Trading, and Ore mining from mining operations they participate in. In return HDY furnishes its members with anything and everything they need, be it ships, modules, skills, or implants. These items are requisitioned by members via an advanced database in the members section of our website. Hadean Drive Yards is NOT a corporation to join if you aspire to have vast personal wealth. However, HDY assures that its members are some of the best equipped and supported pilots in the EVE universe.
Hadean Drive Yards also takes great care to maintain political neutrality with regards to the various alliances. HDY does not wish to be come caught up in the diplomatic negotiations and politics of EVE which can at times bring other corporations to a grinding halt. As one of the largest ship producing corporations in EVE this policy of neutrality benefits its customers as HDY is able to continually produce and sell ships at any moment in time no matter who is at war with whom.
There are a wide variety of roles in Hadean Drive Yards and if you show you have the ability and dedication you will swiftly advance in its ranks. If you have any questions youÆd like answered please stop by our website at www.hadean.org. Also, you can visit us in game by joining the Shop@HDY channel in-game and chat to the members there to get a feeling for how the corporation works.

As many of the people will say, yes this corp is great but why is it great?
Consider these:
1) Do you want a corp that has poor leadership and a lack of organisation Or 2) A corp where the leadership is actively involved and looking at ways to improve/changes/add things for the benefit of the corp.
1) Do you want a corp that you end up working solo most of the time and when there is group events you little to gain from it Or 2) A corp where, on a daily basis the corp is in groups working together and towards common goals.
1) Do you want to be working away barely trying to make enough money for your own battleship before even considering insurance? Or 2) being provided your ships/item free from the corp because they appreciate the work you do for them.
1) Do you want to be in a corp that will more than likely kick you because your inactivity due to real life problems/commitments Or 2) A corp that understands you difficulty and will help you as much as they can plus give you a warm welcome on your return.
If your answers are mostly number 2, then this is a few of the many reasons why HDY is for you and why I love this corp!

Jemba,
There are a lot of reasons why a person might not get into HDY. They range from being too new in the game, to not really fitting the mold of the kind of people that call HDY home.
Sometimes hardcore PVP'ers or other folks look at our website and say "cool" and submit an application without really understanding what we're about.
Everything we do revolves around shipbuilding. From mining, to NPC hunting, to moving materials via convoy, everything we do supports that.
What I would do is take twenty minutes and REALLY read over our website, and then ask yourself if you would 'fit in' at a corporation such as ours.
After you've read everything on the website (structure, ranks, equipment, etc.) Get a hold of Laird, Bandus or myself if you have any other questions that weren't answered there.
But to answer your original question, it would really depend on the reason that your application was not accepted when you applied last. I'd rather not get into that on the public forums, but that's entirely up to you.

TBH HDY was he very first corp i found, i was actualy looking for sites about eve before i even started playing and was just mezmorised by the site and the way the whole machine grinds along like an online General Electric.
i have read through the website, several times, everytime i do i just think "wow". without wanting to sound like a pansy, it would be fair to say my ambition in eve is to be part of HDY. ive never been one for pvp anyway, but the idea of helping not only a corp but the entire Eve World appeals to me. it would give me some purpose to scratching away at those rocks in space, some reason to be in that void smacking pirates aboot. i still have the original email about my rejection, i never botherd finding out why you guys didnt want me, seemed at hte time like there was no point. Theres no use crying over spilt milk after all.
ill have another look around today and this evening (while not working at work :P) but i would imagine your gonna see another application within the next few days.

HDY requires that your character is at least 1 month old. If, when you applied, you had just started playing EVE that is more likely than not why you were rejected. It can NEVER hurt to apply again. We look forward to hearing from you.

Hehe, if we were paying the bovine mafia to recruit for us, they'd be killing people unless they joined us...duh. :-)
Seriously though folks. Things are going better than ever with HDY right now. It's an excellent opportunity and it has truly changed my EVE life and experience.

Edited by: Pango on 18/08/2004 08:18:10 Well i don't know where you got successful from and it's a fair point none the less, but how many other non-political ship building corporations have survived for nearly 2 years in this game? So i'd say we are successful in that respect.
As for sales i'd say we are successful in that way as well with a few established sales locations in EvE and we're busy selling ships daily.
With all that said it's not all down to us on how successful we are, it is the customers that count and we value that. I'd like to thank them for coming to us with their orders and we hope we can keep providing an excellence service to you in future.

It can definitely be hard to quantify exactly what makes a corp one of the most successful shipbuilding corporations in EVE.
But consider HDY has been around since beta, has a significant amount of members that have been part of HDY for a long time, and is one of the most recognizable manufacturing corporations in EVE all the while remaining seperate from any alliance since the day it came into existence, you have to ask yourself this:
Off the top of your head, how many other manufacturing corporations can you think of that can claim all of these things. I'd wager you can't come up with many
So I don't think its grasping to say we are one of the premiere shipbuilding corporations in EVE.
It's the best group of people I've ever had the pleasure of playing an online game with. If you are looking for a good corporation to call home here in EVE, look up Hadean Drive Yards. Commander Grinth: Logistics

Thanks for your question Bohr. I oversee HDY's Cruiser and Industrial production fabs in Nonni 1 - Kaalakiota Corporation Factory and I thought you might like a numerical value to answer your question.
Please remember that the figure below does not include Battleships, Frigates or customers that drop in the shop@hdy. This is a sales figure for sales on the EVE market only.
HDY sells a Cruiser or Industrial class ship every 17.85 Minutes.
Week in week out
I hope this answers your question

As one who's been around to see all of Mo0's handiwork since release, I appreciate having such praise from a member of the most notorious and bloodthirsty pirate corp in Tranquility.
After all, without us churning out ships to supply the good pilots of Tranquility, people like the members of Mo0 Corp. would have nothing to blow up. Sort of a whole..."Circle of Life"...thing. We build the ships, Mo0 blows up the ships and they become the minerals which we mine and use to build more ships, which they in turn blow up, thus perpetuating the cycle of economic life...
So, you see, it all works out.
As for the Members of HDY, they are the finest individuals I have ever had the priviledge to share my on-line time with, bar none.
Oh, and Shariona, my dear...you have a better chance of Overkill abdicating his position as CEO as Mo0 has of turning Carebear :P

The higher, the fewer.
One thing to love about HDY is there is always something to do. You won't be sitting on your hands wondering what you could be doing as in some corporations.
There are no cliques, we all shoulder the effort together and make miracles happen.
If you like playing with people that have defined goals, room for advancement and a knack for doing the impossible, then Hadean might be for you.
Check out our website at
Hadean Drive Yards
And see how you might fit in. If you have unanswered questions about us or our corporation after going over the entire website then pop in to the ingame channel at shop@HDY and ask away.

I swear if you look up Hadean Drive Yards in a dictionary you'd find it says "see: scrutinizing"
I'm sure they're a swell bunch, but they take themselves and this game awfully serious.. Which, in hindsight is probably why I didn't make it.

HDY has a word of thanks to the nice comments made.
HDY is a very unique corp in its operations on-goings. Not everyone who applies makes "The Cut" for any number of reasons. The thing to remember is not only must an applicant fit with HDY, but HDY must fit with the applicant as its a two-way street. Anyone can sit in a Corvette, but does the car fit the driver...

Hadean Drive Yards is always looking for mature, responsible pilots who want to be part of something greater than themselves.

Jehuty touches on a really good point.
When you join HDY, you need to keep in mind that your not joining so that the corporation can exploit the time you spend online. Okay, okay, your not ONLY joining so that the corp can exploit the time you spend online. :-)
Seriously though, when you join HDY it's a mutalistic relationship. In the corp, we test strategies, tactics, loadouts, and pretty much any other crazy ideas we can up with. I hate to sound elitist, but we have some of the smartest and most logically minded individuals in HDY that I've ever seen in my 13 years of onlin gaming.

Edited by: Flabius Aetius on 15/10/2004 05:16:02 One other thing I would like to pint out about HDY is that once you join there are clearly defined qualifications for different aspects of the corporation. For example, if you want to join R&D you will be given a list of skill requirements you need to meet before you can be assigned to that division. It is the same procedure for all the divisions except Mining and Transport and this is done so that HDY can be as efficient as possible when completing build or research orders. If your new to EVE this is a great help as it gives you goals and directions to help flesh out the type of character you want.

Your application will be looked at by our new HRO Bandus. He will decide if he wants to take you onto the next stage and give you an interview.
Either way if you are accepted or declined at this point you will be sent an email (to the one you provided on the application form).
It may be a day or two on getting an email back depending on how many applications there are.

Edited by: Scythmar on 13/10/2004 18:51:09 I left JGR to start my own corp, and it is doing very well, actually. The alliance we headed recently merged with 2 other alliances. As for the story, I would post it here but that'd be against some stupid rule, obviously you didn't read the sticky ...No hostilities towards you tho, you didn't attack one of my members, unprovoked, who was in a hauler in CFS space, nor attempt to convince the Delve Protectorate (to cover your sorry ***) that I had somehow stolen a sum of ore which was greater than what we had actually mined in an op 2 weeks earlier (no mention of any such theft within that 2 week span of course), nor did you attempt to convince them that I had stolen assets from my previous corp to fund my new one (which even JGR denied)...all that was done by your CFO Badger...

Awww Scyth my lad, that almost sounds like flamming, which as you doubtless are aware, is not allowed in the forums. However, I won't ask for it to be removed as it really is rather entertaining. I see now a lot has changed since your time in JGR.
You have such a knack for putting an interesting spin on things. You missed your calling as an INO reporter.
Anyways, the facts are what they are.
I won't deny that an incident took place between you and Badger, furthermore I don't deny that it didn't get personal between you two because it obviously did. I, unlike you, stick by my team mates and stood behind Badger 110%. You tucked your tail and bailed on JGR.
Wait, were you fired or did you leave willingly?
Anyways, I have given you all the charity media time I plan on giving so run along now.

We've been around since early beta and infact some of our members have even been around since alpha!
We're still going strong, with all the current tech 1 ship blue-print originals under our belt and starting to venture into the tech 2 range, we have a vast array of ships that we can build. Either for customers or for our own usage, Hadean can easily and quickly build up vessels for any purpose.
We have some of the friendliest and hard working characters in the eve-online community and they can do amazing things with a little bit of time, bringing in the so-called BACON!

I've filled out the application, but it says something hasn't been filled out, or that I haven't agreed to the TOS. I've checked carefully... Everything's filled out, and I have selected Yes at the bottom. There is a red asterisk next to the character name field, indicating there's a problem with it, but I've used an underscore instead of a space as instructed.
