Hi all.
After much deliberation I have decided to start my own corp with a few friends. We are still small but are doing very well. Being made up of mainly veteran players we are trying to focus our efforts on 0.0 space, both with mining and the view to PvP.
Obviously we are restricted to what 0.0 space we can use right now so I was wondering how a newly formed corp would go about joining an alliance? If there are alliance representatives reading this post please can you reply with contact details? CA, FA, Stain etc. I would love to hear from you all.
I would appreciate it if this post did not become a flame war! There are many other posts that you guys can claim your superiority in!

Shaleen is pretty ok in my book.
She once made up half of my lil' corp whn i had this notion to start something new as well.

I know I may not be the "alliance guy", but from my previous work with alliances, you first contact someone within the alliance. Next you, as in fountain's case, buy passes and start to get to know everyone. Then you find a corp to sponosor your corp.
If all things go well, I will be shooting you soon.

Fade Union will look into you. You can contact me in game for more info. You may be good for us or bad. I will be striaght forward with you. If I think your corp wont do well I will say that so you can look for another alliance.

At the top of this topic there is a stiky post called "eve aliances and crops" most all of the alliance web sites are listed there.

if you want a smart alliance try JQA (contact Maud) they claim well defended space at the exact size they need/hold. this bull of claiming like 5 regions just means your on your own like 80% of the time. also 3rd front is smart like that too (contact Clipped Wings).
Big vast areas of empty space just make it easy for your stuff to get messed with. And as I have been told (though i don't quite understand my self) after Shiva most alliances are going to shrink anyway. They will claim multiple constellations rather than multiple regions...but again I don't know why

TBH I'm not sure CA would be an ideal match for your corp, if you're basically looking for 0.0 space to mine in. CA corps are expected to mine a little and PvP a lot, rather than vice versa.
There are no alliance contacts or recruitment people as such - you need to know someone already in CA, as you require an existing CA corp to sponsor your application. Since the sponsor corp will both look after you and monitor your progress during the trial period this isn't something that's done lightly, and after some high-profile failures of the system (notably TFA and ATUK) the criteria have been tightened up.
However I wish you well with wherever you end up, and if in future you become more PvP-oriented then CA might work for you then.

One of the other options open to you is to merge with an existing alliance corp. Our corp has taken this route and joined The Merchant Marines to get into Norad.
