corp hangars CANT be oppened by NPC corp characters.
now this is an idiotic change that should be reverted.
resons why? too many to count. NPC corps can be MANY times more active than player run corps, theres a constant stream of new players into the game. theres no hassle with grief wars, and we can keep weak mining ships 0.00001% more safe by shielding them from wars.
revert this sneak change, its snide.
i want to stay on my NPC corp, CAS is by far the most active one of them all, and you are forcing me to leave it because you want my mining op to be vulnerable to wardecs? IT ALREADY IS, the orcas are already on an NPC corp, simply because i have to haul ore and ice back to station with a hauler orca, theres no point on making the miners even more vulnerable.
and tbh you are forcing me to use a GSC to buffer instead of the corp hangar... your change is pointless and just a hassle. |

theres NO option to open corp hangars when using npc corp alts. regardless of what you tick on the orca character.
previously you would get a lack of "rights to take contents" warning , but you could still drop ores and any modules on it, now you cant even open it. |

That one sounds like a hamfisted nerf to the Ossogur Legion/Orca camping bullcrap. That should be petitioned, might be a bug.

Dunno about bug or intended and whats not but if the Orca isnt afk can they not just jetcan next to it for it to pick up?

That's a problem with crimewatch, which they are simplifying in Inferno. Make a bug report so the devs know to fix it.

I just discovered this yesterday. I'm in a player corp and I have my own little corp for mining. I'm the orca pilot and booster for my hulk pilots. There is no option anymore to allow fleet members access to the corp hangar. Just and option for the Maintenance bay. Now I have to jetcan mine with an orca? This is ridiculous. |

You know, I like this. First there was rage over gankers loosing some Orca functionality, and now the miners are raging too. All good.
And everyone knows the only people this change affected were miners hiding in npc corps because they couldn't stomach the idea of a wardec. An elegant solution, certainly. |

Point of fact, the option only lets people put things in the orca, not take them out. They can't even see the items in the hangar,...not even the stuff they dropped in.

Exactly. You never could remove any items from the corp bay while in a fleet. Now when we have ice mining parties or mining ops we have to use jet cans. May as well go back to Command ships boosting with Itty Vs. |

I am surprised CCP didn't make it so you can see in the corp hanger and the items in there drop, I personally would've found it entertaining if they did that right before burn jita. In fact that's what I expected this thread to be about from the title. |

Why?
This doesn't really affect gankers at all.
You can still unfit T2 mods from GCC'd suicide ships into the Orca's corporate bay - you just have to have the ganker in the same corp as the Orca. Easy.
Miners are just mad because they lose the corp hangar functionality when they are forced to drop into different NPC corps by wardecs. |
