Edited by: Ambitio on 09/08/2004 19:29:45 I have just started doing lvl 2 and lvl 3 missions with my Rupture and i was wondering if you had some tips on what to put in the low slots. I am only doing kill missions unless the mission gives a implant. What is best to put in my low slots? Now i only have some random stuff: 2 x Basic power diagnostic system, 2 x warp core stabilizer 1, 1 x Co-processor 1.
I only have around 2.5 mil skillpoints and i am currently training most for me usefull skills to lvl 2, lvl 3.
I am happy to hear your thaughts.

I have a ballistic control module, a turret damage increase module, a power module, and I forget the other 2. Take out your stabs and put in damage mods. That will help you quite a bit.

As a general rule, don't use modules that have 'Basic' or 'Civilian' in the name.
Power Diagnostic System Is are superior to the Basic modules and are readily available.
Same goes for Reactor Control Unit Is, Capacitor Power Relay Is etc.

Unless you have fitting problems.

Yes but the reason i use stabs is that i am a young caracter and the lvl 3 kill missions are often very hard and i need to flee sometimes. And i have noticed that many of them have warp scramblers.

if I got spare low slots with no, or nearly no fitting left, depending on the ship and all I usually throw Nanofibers or overdrives in there, that sorta thing.
damage mods are good as well,

Very true... there are some exceptions though :
1. The modules that increase shield recharge rate are better in the basic version than standard (0.5 less cpu or something). That module isn't useful at all, but still... (The point is that there may be other, similar cases.)
2. In some cases, it's completely unnecessary to use anything better than basic. If, for example, a basic cpu will do the job, it's a waste of isk to use a standard one in case your ship is destroyed.
Also note that some named stuff are worse than the standard modules, so it's good to always compare stats before using a module.

i'm not aware of any level 3 agent rats that warp scramble, so unless you are running missions in low sec areas, lose tha warp stabs
edit - they do use webbifiers but i've never seen a scramblimg one - u sure you've seen them scramble you? (and what mission/agent) |

I can confirm that level 3 rats can warp scramble. I have lost 2 ruptures to this ;-). I THINK you only need 1 WCS to enable you to warp away from npc rats though.
In my experience I have had a couple of the named rats use uber speed to fly to me and then scramble.
The non named escort / fighter types only attempt to scramble when you get close.
In response to the first chaps question. If you favor long range missile fighting , drop one of your WCS and fit a BCS.
If you favor "in your face and up close and personal" fit a turret damage mod and use those 425s to full effect.

You should have an armor tank setup and damage mods in your low slots on a Rupture, if you have the skills for it. It's not that you can't shield tank, it's just that by giving a ship 5 low slots and only 3 mid slots, CCP is telling you that armor tanking will work better.
