Ok, so here's the situation.
I'm in the market for a new laptop, my current one (1.6Ghz, 1GB RAM, Radeon x200) isn't quite the 'beast' it once was, I now need a new machine that will serve me proud by sitting beside my desktop (which will be Core i7 by the end of the year), but be able to play enough games at decent res+fps to get me through the days/nights when I'm not at home.
I don't want to spend a fortune on one as it will not be my primary gaming rig. I know my stuff when it comes to desktops but on laptops I'm not so hot, so I'm hoping someone here can tell me if the machine i've got my eye on is any good.

That's the one that has caught my eve, but if anyone knows of anything in a similar price band (I don't really plan on spending more than 750-800 (less is more)), then i'd be much appreciative.

Should be perfectly fine for most games: the GFX is a Geforce 9500 which is roughly the same as an 8600 (will run most modern games - only really struggling with Crysis on high).
rest of spec should be readable by anyone with desktop experience

Get the Acer with 9600 nVidia 512meg. I bought this one and it runs EVE in Premium quite nicely. Played in a large fleet battle and the fps stayed at around 30-40 fps with high settings. It also has 4 gigs ddr and a very nice screen. I highly recommend it. it even plays TF2 with no issues. Sound is very good as well considering its a laptop.
