This is either FW-related or an AI bug due to carrying illegal cargo (my guess is the latter). After completing a FW mission, and while carrying numerous Gallente dogtags, crashed to desktop each and every time exiting warp to a stargate populated by NPC navy or customs - did NOT crash on exit from warp to low-sec stargates with no NPC presence.
Lost my ship with all hands, of course, after prob the 12th crash in 5 minutes. Is CTD the new strat for preventing smuggling? Anyone else seeing this?

And I'm now getting "CCP EveFile.exe" errors on entering warp. Effectively cannot play now. Petitioned two days ago, no response yet.

Three days.
Zilch from petition. Tried a ton of crap to fix (newest catalyst drivers, ATI CCC has all settings to per-application, I even downclocked my 4850 to factory speed) but this is mos def eve-specific. help you bastards

Have you tried turning off Eve sounds? Not eve voice (though I mean that too), ALL of Eve sounds including 'hardware acceleration'?
Give that a try and get back to me .....

What drivers are you using for your ATI card? I had some crashes at some gates with the latest 9.2 drivers, but when I went back to the previous drivers it stopped happening.

- have not tried turning off sound. Be unfortunate if that's it
- Initially I was using 8.11 drivers IIRC, switching to 9.2 was like the first thing I tried. Didn't seem to make a difference

I've suggested turning off hardware acceleration for audio and it fixed someone's problem. You can usually tell if sound is involved when the crash occurs during loud sounds: explosions, etc. This is common to most all games.
