Ah right, makes sense. although i do like to carry a few. You never know whats going to warp in ! ?
As for the npc fitting, well my first thought would be not to do it in a Ravan, especially if cost is an issue.
If you have to then fitting 4x Large turruts and 4x smaller launchers fitted with light missiles for the smaller targets? After that whatever you wanna fit in the other slots. Or another option would be to rely on medium or small drones for the frigs?

as much as you all deserve a medal for trying to get good dmg from turrets on a raven...i know i tried everything..i suggest you give it up as there aint no bonus and it really shows with this ship! i also noticed tht all the set ups on here come from ppl tht are based in empire tho i could be wrong...my advise...train your engineering skill and stop wastin lo slots on power upgrades...you are putting ur ship at a disadvantage if you fly it without eng5 and elect5...if you want the grid you gotta train the skills...lo slots will save ur ass use them for just tht if you really pvp

While that is certainly a sweet setup it is also a mighty expensive setup. Even if you can afford to PvP a ship like that just collecting the items can be a major headache. If you have the money and/or a serious stash of those items more power to you but that is a very steep hill to climb for most.

I myself prefer diag 2's, because i have a nice dmg w/ rof + skills.

I would never fly my scorp or a raven without having a ballistic control in the low slot. It's a missiles boat, use ballistics!
