I am a bit perplexed about why i almost always see that people choose Caldari navy launchers over tech II launchers when posting their favorite setups in battleclinic.
Can someone explain to me what the difference is between the two setups?, is it because it takes long time to train for the tech II launchers, which i actually use with Fury and Precision cruise missiles.
Or are there another explanation?.

They require less skills to fit, however the DPS advantage is extremely small with high level cruise missile spec. I think it's about 3-5dps per launcher better if I were to use them.
Dropping 200mil or so for an extra 20-25dps though is something I'll pass on, especially considering how many faction cruise missiles that'd buy, which will give around 100dps more.
So reasons to use faction launchers: Bad skills Fitting ease Want every last bit of DPS

T2 cruise missiles are generally useless for missioning. CN launchers can be used with less skill training and provide better damage than t2. I'd rather spend 200 mil, get better damage now, and save weeks of training time (cruise missile spec 1->5).
Of course if you're talking PvP you'd want to go with the T2s since they are much cheaper.

This, like taken out of my mouth. :)
For PvP tho, I recomend Torpedoes :P

Faction Launchers hold more as well.
As you find with all faction/deadspace/officer gear, the slight increase in effectiveness comes with a giant leap in price.
Honestly, I'd stick with T2 as you can make Fury Cruise really shine for missions, as well as spending that ISK on other things (GTC, exotic dancers, PvP, whatever) *** Currently Playing: Trolls from Outer Space Current Equipment: VISAcard chain mail, +2 Amulet of Epic Whine, Self Banstick +2 WTB: +666 E-peen killboard stats |

Thanks for your answers, told me much :).
I am accordingly to the certificate planner about the tech II launchers apparently an elite and will continue using the special missiles :). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "It is better to die laughing, than to fade away in boredom."
