So, you find a wormhole leading to an unknown system with an Ice belt in it.
You send an alt in a JF/Carrier through containg:
- POS + POS Mods
- Covert ops + Mods
- Hulk + Mods
- Probe BPO
Then keep moon mining the dyspro moon there, mining for the fuel, and once every while, get a W-K wormhole that you can send your freighter through to ship your dyspro to empire.

Now, unless you are actually using an alt to sit in the unknown space, who would want to do this in a Massively Multiplayer game?
Being in unknown space, you can't:
- get PVP
- do trading
- virtually interact with other nerds (unless someone happens to stumble upon a WH leading to you)
- do anything you would do in normal space
Basically, prepare to be stuck for a long while. This is no problem if you just send an alt in, and can keep pewpewing with your main.
Therefore, this is an attempt from CCP to have people make more accounts, and with that, get more subscription fee income.

You do know that as the next expansion goes live, so does the retail box, right?
Besides... if you set up a POS, all you need is an ALT that can sit inside your wormhole space and find out where the exit wormhole leads, then send your freighter full of fuel to the exit system which will also be the entrance system for your wormhole space. Assuming it is in known space. Easy.

There is no ice to mine for fuel.
Some people are *yearning* for empty space.
EVE grows all the time with or without alts.

- do archeology sites
- do gas mining
- do moon mining
- explore new wormholes
- live on a POS, and fit/build ammo there.

Yes, this is correct. CCP is attempting to make the game better so that new players will want to sign up (More accounts) and that old players will stay (Also more accounts).

While I am appalled and disgusted at a company trying to make money, I fully plan to milk any decent moon I find there for as long as I can through whatever legit means are possible.

Stupid statement, sheepish responce from those that don't see the bigger picture.
Myself i would argue that placing eve toward the hardcore (multiple account users) willing to exploit the standard set of eve's wears is a total turnoff for the more casual/middleterm gamer.
Those guys that come to eve from other games where one account was perfect foil to take part in all aspects of the game find an enviroment here where in many parts of the game and it's groups require you to atleast pay for two.
Many don't and won't stick with the game because of that.
Eve doesn't as much suffer though because there are those that take up that slack by stoping and replacing those loses by grabbing alts, but it's a trade off reguardless.. eve could be more, and a better game with a different model more aimed toward multiple player grouping like other mmo's.

Eh? Really?
In my experience, it's the other way around: most MMOs require you to have multiple account if you want to play around with everything due to a limited number of character slots combined with a large amount of very restricting classes and/or races, each with its own content. In EVE, those restrictions don't exist, and neither does the need to use multiple accounts.
The closest I can think of is some mechanics that more or less entirely rely on large corporations and alliances, but that just means you need to find and join one to experience that part of the game — you don't need to build an army of alts and do it all solo.
Is it convenient to have more than one account for some things? Sure. Is it required? Not even close.

You know what I will see when it comes to wormholes? I want it to be like Star Trek Voyager. You are completely lost and need to find a gate home. A huge labirynt where you have got lost and needs to fly from system to system: wormhole to wormhole looking for a gate taking you home! That or in a clone! I want it harsh!!!!!!!!!

I assume you like playing this game - and last time I checked, you can't run advanced servers and employ hundreds of people on thin air. Beer also costs money.

On a more serious note:
Eve is an MMORPG, which stands for: Massivly Multiplayer Online Game. You dont need alts to see the whole game, you can either have alts and treat it as a single player game, or you can just maybe find a bunch of mates to play with. Maybe the game should have some way of players to make their own corps and even alliances!
I am considering an 2nd account myself, not because I want to do everything on my own. Purely 'cos I am to impatient to train 2 career paths!
