Edited by: Mes Ren on 25/02/2009 02:51:06 I'd like to hear people's experience with the Nvidia 7x series of cards on SISI. Currently on TQ, I can run premium with great fps. On SISI, my station is black, my ship models are missing more often than not (just started testing the most recent patch, and so far no ship models), and none of the new effects work.
Edit: I have a 7950GT 512MB ________________________

now you scared me... didn't wanted to download 1.4 gigs just to patch SISI but now ... It will take me a lot of time with 512k connection, but it looks like I'll have to check if my card works... or wait a couple of days and check this topic again. Nah, I'll wait.

I run a 7300 Nvidia Card. Test server stuff here not getting better with each new patch they put out for me. Frist one worked great and well the more they patch the less I see and can do. BUGs Bugs Bugs.

Were you using the premium content with scene2 off in the first patch? Premium content worked fine for me, but everything associated with scene2, and now all ship models don't work for me (and you can't run the premium content with scene2 off for several patches now). ________________________

I've got a 7800GT and I haven't had many problems- just missing models when I use the solar system map (but this is a bug in Apoc's code- it has nothing to do with the card). I'm running everything on low (fan on the card is about to give out so it's prone to overheating) BUT I must say that even with low res textures etc., there have been a few moments when I've gone "wooooh" flying through space- the planets & backgrounds seem to have been tweaked & I'm not noticing any FPS loss or lag.
Try clearing out (or deleting entirely) the cache/settings folder for SISI in your "Documents and Settings\<USER>\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE" folder- it worked for me a while back when I was having similar problems

I had everything turned on and was fine alittle low on FPS but hey it is not the greats card out there. I can still have everything turned on Now with this patch but Maps locks up and ship and stuff in space well LOL they have one darn good cloak. Redock and ship comes back and all the other stuff. Map seems to break it for me atm.

Running with GeForce 7600 GT, Windows Vista 32-bit. Everything loads and displays fine.
(Amazing how fast these cards become antiques.)

I run a 9800GTX+ but I've experienced at some time or another many of the same problems described in the OP. It looks like SiSi is not that stable, so I'll just wait TQ update. By the way nVidia released new drivers about a week ago so maybe we won't have problems with our old 7 series cards.

Running a BFG 7800GS AGP here. Not had too many problems, but graphicly i've experienced issues. first patch i ran at 2FPS, it was barely stable, but with each patch im getting better FPS now, almost same as TQ for me, but i am getting whiteouts and blackouts, more specificly, i get an all white bloom effect around stations that i've undocked at, other stations are fine only seems to be when i've undocked at a station, and blackouts after i use a jumpgate, which im thinking has something to do with the my client trying to create shadows from the new jumpgate graphics. I just had solid yellow graphics when i undocked with a T3 ship. The new fitting screen doesn't seem to like me that much, when i fit a module, it fits it off center... so i have to right click to fit active module to ship when fitting because when i left click + drag the module over, it doesn't fit it to my ship, having issues with unfitting a module aswell

been there, done that... and guess what? An error occured while patching requesting to download patch manually (after 1.4GB download with the updater application). the moment I got the error I deleted the whole thing. looks like I'll wait for TQ patch after all. would like to download the patch with a download manager though. I don't like the new patching app.

Edited by: Ronny Hendriks on 26/02/2009 01:51:00 tried current 81170 sisi on my older rig
Athlon XP 2600+ (1.91 Ghz) 1.5GB RAM Geforce 7800GS 256MB Windows XP Pro SP3 Nvidia 182.06 WHQL Drivers
EVE Test Settings #1 -windowed mode -1152x864 -shadows enabled -hdr enabled -bloom disabled -shader quality high -texture quality high
about 50 fps average with not much going on
disabled all the fancy stuff and in space i only got about 10fps average more out of it. in station it almost doubled to 110-120fps (big difference there if you ask me ) with my rig it's most likely the cpu that's slowing things down though.
on my main rig i get a nice fps boost on sisi compared to TQ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dell Precision M90 here with NVidia Quadro FX 2500M which is supposedly the equivalent of the consumer Go 7900 GTX.
Station Black No Models, except planets, moons, suns Some effects most notably torpedoes and missiles do work
So I was wondering if it was the 7900 series, or perhaps, in my case, how the drivers treat the quadro.. it plays games just fine at high frames rates. But Scene2 in apocrypha just doesnt come thru
