I know that with 5mil SP most players would say not to fly the ships I fly. Most of my Eve career has been spent with a group of friends in which I filled this role. I never aggro or get shot at, for the most part. Secondary disclaimer, I know in PvP ops that my last statement isn't worth a damn. Anyways, ya, end disclaimer.

I am comfortable with flying a Moa, Ferox or Rokh loaded out in a sniper setup. I have not focused on tank or a ton of shield skills, although I have the ability to tank rather well. For the most part, I could be inserted into a fleet for some OK firepower.
At 30km I am doing about 355 dps (since my drones can reach, looking to extend that soon).
Between 30-100km I do ~275 dps depending on ammo.
I will take orders (mostly) without question, and I'm just looking to have a fun, productive time. Also, I have Salvage 5 and a salvage tackle fitted Cormorant if you need me for salvage ops.

Although your low SP, you seem like you have passion for the game. We tend to fly cruiser sized gangs in low sec and are looking forward to Apocrypha and the wspace update. I definitely love this game. I started about 2 years ago and got out do to real life (unemployment) issues.
Now I have a job where I have a lot of downtown (network admin) so I am constantly using VNC to check on my home PC, warping around and wheeling and dealing whilst staving off the angry mob (mob is network users (and placing many things between parenthesis to decrease their importance!)). <-- Run-on sentence, that must be very displeasing to read...
But yea, I'm in for the long haul this time and I would like to take a stab at wspace.

Not to be an ass but I think my Tranis (ceptor) can out dps your sniper rokh. O'yeah 60-100km range is not a sniper setup.
I'm a Gallente spec player but If i did fly a rokh I could hit at 250km for 320 DPS. Now that is what I call snipping.
My megatron heheeh I can hit at 220km and I do 370+ DPS. If I move into your 50km range I do 650 DPS.
This is snipping.

Have a look at Sons Of 0din, that sniper would be great for home system defence, (I use a sniper mega) among other things, and the cruisers etc great for roaming ops.

No, quite teh contrary, you were being a total ass. I never bragged about the damage I do. I have less than 5mil SP and I know I can't dish out the dmg like most can. And hey, for a freakin' high sec mission runner who is usually teamed with a few tank ships, 70+ km IS sniping. Anyways, to the rest of you, thanks for your interest and I will make a decision shortly. Kinda leaning towards Sons of Odin...
