so yeah i was wondering how i'd make the text be next to a picture instead of just above / below, anyone know how ?

It's called linking the picture.
The (non-Greasemonkey-shenanigan'd) forums are far too thin to accommodate most images without screen stretching.

let's just take this pic as an example;
could easily have plenty of text next to it without stretching forums ;O

I say good sir, my post is completely devoid of semicolons! I highly suggest using quotes so you don't get caught out like that.
