Edited by: Ethan Kel on 10/08/2004 22:22:57 Edited by: Ethan Kel on 10/08/2004 22:19:03 RULE 20! Post constructively. Negative feedback can be very useful, provided that it is presented in a civil, factual manner. Tell us what you don't like and why and how you feel it could be improved. Posts that are insulting and rude may be deleted, no matter how valid the ideas behind them may be.
This is my intent.
Oh im sorry I thought this was the general discussion area? I think you should call this forum "Censored if we don't like it discussions". The current title is very misleading in suggesting that people may speak freely here on any number of topics which the word"General" implies. I simply cannot fathom why CCP would empower you to upset customers? All of us are EVE! Without the devs EVE is nothing ! Without the customers EVE is nothing ! The primary rule of good customer relations is that the customer is always right! When a business angers and looses a customer they also loose many of that customers friends as well and their friends and on and on. Word of mouth advertising is a two edged sword and swings both ways. I suggest that you moderate in a constructive manner as well and quit imposing your intepretations as to the intent so blatantly and carelessly. You the moderators have the power to create a forum where people can vent and rant. Create it! Censoring every one is non constructive and invalidates the person as a paying customer. I rarely come to these forums but I am appalled at your treatment of customers. In my business, Ill treatment of customers is not tolerated and usually results in termination.

no, customer isn't always right when it conflics with other customers. stop posting, you don't deserve it since you can't grasp that simple concept (aside from the simple concept of forum rules).

Im not talking about customers and how they treat each other. Im talking about how a company treats it's customers directly or indirectly. And in that sense the customer is always right.

TBH, I've learnt in every job that I've done (tech service/support/customer service), that the exact opposite is infact true
The customer is hardly EVER right

Depends on how you deal with it, imho.
If you can deal with it correctly, you'll not only tell the customer they are wrong, but they'll leave a happy customer too
*That's* good customer service
