Intent "Rule 20"
Well that title caught your eye.
What I would like to suggest again but in a different way is the " Rants, Flames and complaints forum.
You see in varying degrees every one who has responded to the various posts are right!
Since this is a multicultural forum there is no doubt that many interpretations of "Customer Relations" and application of "Free speech" apply.
No matter how polite you approach the subject of locking and removing posts it is still telling some one to "Shut up."
Therefore it behooves us as a community to create this forum as a melting pot of ideas and perhaps learn from them.
If creating a "Rants, Flames, and Complaints forum solves all of this and reduces your having to do all this other unecessary deleting, locking and such.
Then it is a good thing and will help all of us.

or alternatively people could count to ten, relax a bit and realise this is just a game and that reasonable, justified responses will not be locked.

Yeah, but this is humanity you're talking about here. What are the chances that will actually happen? Slim to none.

Free speech doesn't exist on a text-based messageboard on an icelandic-owned game site
As it doesn't most places on the net :)

the problem with these forums, are that we are paying customers who dont wish to have the community bottlenecked by a police-state forum...
its nuts...
the strongest and most powerful communities are the free-speach ones...
take Tribalwar.com they are the seat of the tribes community.
Tribalwar doesnt have a word filter or content filtering group (warez is a big nono tho). This site was created in response to OGL ladders **** admin system (Ahem EVE). not only did they outlast OGL they have well over 8,000 members and the largest and most participated forum ive ever seen.
the next game "Tribes Vengeance" is being created with Tribalwar's help...the community dictated the devs...
something we should do, i would mind having a forum without a gestapo.

Actually having decided to become more involved in these forums and find solutions is what I'm out to do.
Yes I made a few mistakes but what you want here and what I think you want here are two different and I am making the effort to attempt to share your vision.
I promise you your boards are perhaps the most decent I have ever encountered.
