Roughly, how many missions do you need to get access to level two agents.
Looking at a bog standard -20 I will need an effective faction, corp or personal standing of 1.00
So far I've run 35 missions for this one agent, and my standing with him his 2.59, but my corp standing is only 0.35. Its going up just 0.01 with each mission. Working on that basis I'd have to do 100 missions to get a level 2 agent.
Speaking to other they say they only did half that. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
I'd like to teach the world to sing,In perfect harmony Id like to build the world a home,And furnish it with love Grow apple trees and honey bees and snow-white turtle doves

Try moving up the Agent ladder of the same level by getting a higher quality agent.
For example if your Agent is level one quality -14 then get a Level One Agent Quality -9 or whatever the best you can get. Their missions tend to have a higher impact rating on the corp as a whole.
Also, get some social skills like Negotiation and Connections. Those skills will help you out. _______________________________________________

Already tried that. Moved from a -15 to a 5. Didn't seem to make much difference
Might give the skills ago and see if they do any good. How much difference do they make? From people I've spoken to it seems 50/50 as to whether they do any good
Thanks

Training connections to lvl4 will give u access to lvl2 agents with any corp that doesnt hold u in negative standing. All u need to do is do 1 mission with any agent u can from that corp and the connections skill will kick in.

Just be sure you are ready for level 2 missions. They dont just pay more, they are a heck of a lot harder. I just hard one where I had to kill 3 freedom fighters, easy to most but I only started here about 2 weeks ago.. Almost got myself killed.

I am trying to figure out the math here and I don't see what 0.38 is 12% of. 12% of 6.82 is .8184, so where does the 0.38 come from? ------------------------------------So many skills, so little time... |

Connections formula:
New standing = Old standing + 0.04 x Connections lvl x (10 - old standing)
With connections lvl 3 and a base standing of 6.82 :
6.82 + 0.04 x 3 x (10 - 6.82) = 7.20
Hope this helps

My maths is a bit rusty (I'm fine with anything in metres and inches, but start sticking brackets into equations and my head hurts ) but shouldn't that be :
6.82 + (0.04 x 3 x (10 - 6.82)) = 7.20)

Well to say the skills made a difference is an understatement.
Now got a level 2 agent. Second mission she gave me was a courier mission.Reward was about 40,000 , which didn't seem much considering how far it was, and how long the journey took.
Got back and found the bonus was a pile stuff I half expected to be worth 200 each. Seems I was wrong and these Fusion Reactor Units are selling for between 140,000 to 280,000 (doesn't mean people are buying them at),depending on region, and my agent gave me 19 of them
So WTF are they? Are these tech 2 components?

Yep, that's T2 components! For example, interceptors require (if memory serves from the bring-you-own-components deal I made on my late Crusader - RIP) around 30 reactor units plus a bunch of other stuff like armor, shield emitters, thrusters and whatnot.

It's common math rules that multiplication and division is performed before addition and subtraction in a formula. So paranteses is only neaded when you want the addition/subtraction done first... Adding those parenthesis affects nothing, order of operations is: parenthesis, exponents, multiplication/division, addition/subtraction. Therefore the multiplication takes place before the addition with or without the extra set of parenthesis, and I'm guessing the last one was a typo.
