I have a rather difficult problem to explain. I'll do my best and hopes someone has had the same problem and know what is causing it.
Comp: 3,2Ghz P4 800Mhz Hyperthreading Prescott. 1Gb memory 400Mhz. 2 * 512Mb. (memory bank 1 & 2) Ati Radeon 9800XT 256Mb. (The rest is not inportant in this matter I believe.)
Software: Direct X 9.1c Cataclyst 4,7 drivers.
Problem: When I first start EVE everything is fine. no lag whatsoever whereever I am. But then as time progress it gets chunkier and chunkier. 3 Minutes into the game it laggs for 3 seconds every 10 seconds or so. I have tried every option in the game. Turning everything of and at the lowest possible. Nothing happen it's still the same problem. It feels like the more I play the more it stores in the memory and doesnt flush it.
That leads me to believe that it's a hardware problem. But the fact that I can run Doom3 with High detail and no perfomance drops makes me not really believe that either.
So my final conclusion is that it's something not right in the game code. Cause when I played the game a year ago with lower system specs I didnt have this problem.
I hope someone can confirm me that they have the same problem and that it is game related.
Thanks!

Is it with the new Catalyst drivers that were developed for Doom3?
There might be slight problems with those since they were actually like one of CCP's hotfixes, for Doom3.
CCP should check driver compabilities.
