I need to raise my gallente faction standing to -5.0 so i can fly in gallente high sec (can someone confirm that -5 will be high enough not to get me shot) so that i can join a corp there. Currently my standing is -7.21 so training skills is out of the question since they won't help much.
Can anyone give me any solution as how to raise my standings with them bearing in mind missions are impossible with them?

You'd be surprised how much training Diplomacy will help... If that doesn't help, try running missions for Minmatar if you can (training Diplomacy should again help you with that as well) to get some derived standings that way. Otherwise find a neutral faction that's kinda friendly to Gallente and see if that helps. If none of those work, you're kinda screwed.

Yeh my minmatar standing is also something like -5 so running missions for them isn't possible

Diplomacy to V and can you access any Sisters of Eve agents? they will raise you up.
My standing to Amarr is -8.9 but diplomacy V takes it to -5.12 so lvl 4 should be sufficient for you.
I would also like advice on what faction I could access to raise my Amarr above 5.00 :) wont need much.

try sisters of eve missions, their storylines increase gallente and minmatar faction standings

Thanks for that table I lost that ages ago :) looks like I may be able to use Mordus agents to claw that 0.12 back.
To Aaron, try the Sisters agent in Vattuolen, The Forge, he is level I Q -12
Another is in Sigga, Genesis level I Q-19 If you cannot access that one then your screwed for Sisters as well :)
