No no no the red one is no good.... try the red one.

Confirming all WH systems are like this. I do however have a trick that can narrow down the search for wormholes which I would be willing to give away, for a small fee

I found out something interesting. Its hard to tell without rotating those dots within the game but...
The dot that was the farthest above the orbital plane, the only one I scanned so far, was a wormhole.
I would need to do the same thing in other unknowns to find out if wormholes are always the farthest off the orbital plane. Right now its just a theory.

i agree, many wspace systems are like this. i like the idea of the wh being furthest from the plane - this worked for me a while ago. i shall try out this hypothesis now

Edited by: Cheryl Zitrone on 01/03/2009 22:42:42 Well that was very odd. I warped to the lowest sig and yes it was in fact a wormhole. But when I dropped out of warp it was no longer there.
A new scan without moving probes also failed to find the sig. I am wondering if that was a wormhole to deeper unknown space and CCP disabled that part of the game right now.
EDIT: Just went back into game and when i reopened system map it had a note on it. "Unstable wormhole" right where that last one vanished. It isnt warpable.

I found 2 of these dissappearing wormholes. Very annoying, after sifting through at least 10 sites. But I've found one to deeper w-space, and it is definately broken. It just sets a timer and doesn't move me.
My theory is that the wormholes don't actually disappear when their timer runs out, but if you do anything that makes the server think about said wormhole, then it disappears. Probably due to probing being broken there are a lot less wormholes in k-space because there are these not-popped wormholes in w-space?
Also the asteroid fields don't appear on the overview/solar-system list and are totally empty.
