I'm somewhat of a shy person who's spends most of his spare time infront of the computer. The last month I've been going out on a few afterworks and other social things like parties and clubs. But the whole process to find a girl who's right for you seems very hard.
How did you meet your girlfriend? Any tip for a nerd?

I started by not begining sentences with the word "but". Also, using a space between the words girl and friend. Ladies love linguistics :P

dude.. finding the "right girl", will take a long time, I'm out the whole time, one night stands etc. Can't find the right girl, hate being single.
Keep on doing those things though, be more social, try meeting new friends and try to tag along to parties where you haven't been before, not to mention clubs/pubs etc.

Confidence my friend, confidence.
Girls love confidence, so work on building yours. Not only will you feel better, accomplish more and have more friends, but the ladies will come as a result.

Facebook.

Getting the right girl is all about being comfortable with who you are. Afterall if you can't love yourself for all your flaws and strengths, then how can you expect somebody else to?
I was in a similar situation a while back, and I tried many things, tips, and tricks with my friends. None of that worked really...
It was only when I became happy with who I was as a person, and learned that I didn't have to be afraid to be myself that I started to get noticed.
If you walk into a room and do your own thing regardless of how stupid or ******ed others might think you are for acting yourself you will bleed confidence. It is only then you will start to notice woman have interest in you really. It also makes asking for a date easier too because you act yourself rather then making a fool of yourself trying to copy some other guys tricks. Woman hate a fake, and while being a fake might get you one night stands, it doesn't get you a girl of relationship quality.
Want proof? Ever notice in clubs so many guys who are terrible dancers, but dance with heart are chick magnets. It doesn't matter how stupid you dance, if you are having fun other ladies can and will also have fun with you. One thing leads to another, and then you have a phone number.
Keep in mind I'm Canadian and this is my culture. So depending on where you live some things might be different, but the core message is the same. Be happy with who you are, and you will bleed the confidence you need in order to attract the ladies ;)

1. Keep going out.
2. Be funny (buy stand-up comedy DVDs and learn from them).
3. When you talk to girls, remember that you're trying to find out whether they are good enough for you, not the other way around.
Failing that, strike it big in EVE and brag about it in your local pub. Women get incredibly turned on when you tell them how much money you make in online games.
