OK, with the new build I can scan, find signatures, narrow them down to 100% hits, but for the life of me I can work out how to warp to them. I cant right click on the scan result (no popup menu, which seems strange seeing as you right click for EVERYTHING in this game) and in the system map all I get is a red sphere (not a dot) which i also cant right click on.
Are my 100% hits not really 100% hits or am i missing something obvious?

You have to get a 100% hit on the site with 4 probes at once.
Right now the easy way to probe is to launch 4 probes, set them at 32 au and put them in a rough square around whatever area you want to scan, run the scan, then set them all to .25 au and put them in a square around whichever red dot you want to investigate. - Always be Happy, Never be satisfied. |

I had 7 probes at 0.25AU around it and it was reporting a 100% hit.

if u notice, most of the time the red sphere is a smaller/larger version of ur scan probe sphere. this indicates that u should increase the amount of probes & optimise their location to narrow down the result to a red circle or a red dot. increasing/decreasing the scan range of the probes is also important, together with sufficient overlapping.
once u have that red circle, it means that anywhere along that line, is the sig. repeat the optimisation loop above to nail the sig to a point. overlapping scan probes will help you here.
once u have the red dot, repeat opt. loop again. this is sometimes the tricky bit. if ur dot stays red, then use the minium scan range of the probes, and overlap closely, with the red dot at the overlap point of all the scan probe spheres. make sure that from every angle, the red dot is contained within the overlapping area. u can use a pyramid shape, or a simple quad arrangement - they work well.
if u dont get a green dot, which is the warpable result, then repeat the process of optimising the location of the probes. try and be neat with the probe arrangement (equal angles, red dot in perfect centre of the overlaps, etc) - this will help. if, after many tries, u still have a non-warpable result, it means u dont have the skills/ship bonuses to narrow down the sig to a satisfactory point. move on to the next system :)
hope that helps a little, ody

Also, the little green dot is not your warp to click thingy.
You'll need to click on the result in the scanning window to be able to warp there. In the scanning window, RMB is your friend. .. ... .... .. .... .. .-. --- - .- -. .- -.- .- A bullet, Laser beam or Plasma charge may have your name on it..... A Smartbomb or Shrapnel is adressed "To whom it may concern"... |

there was a bug yesterday where it was impossible to warp to sig. CCP fixed it with the last patch could that be the issue ?

You have to get REALLY close sometimes. The last WH gate I found needed 4 probes within 1.000.000 km, before it gave a green dot. At a certain point, I got a 2-probe hit (circle) which was so amazingly small that I couldn't get my probes close on it (can't zoom enough).

Could still be an issue. I've had it work on one scan, then not work on the next. You can right click the green dot, or the scan result in the window, and both can get you warp to.
It's still a buggy system. Bugreport it and try again.

It means you need to learn how scanning works.

The scanning system on its own suck. I usually get the hang of things very quickly, I wasted 2 hours yesterday scanning and only 1 stuff narrowed down to 100%. The system on its own is not coherent.
