I finished it 4 days ago, watched the movies so i could get the complete ending...
not sure what to do now, my mind was blown thoroughly, this is worse then when i learned about stressed internal refraction and quantum tunneling.
what do i do?/has anyone else had this reaction?

Oh God no. Why ruin a perfectly good thing by doing that? To make money, of course, but why would any fan ever wish for that?
Granted it's like..... ten years or something since I saw Evangelion, but I remember I thought it was very good at the time. Iirc also somewhat hard to catch all the symbolism and references in the two movies, as it was packed so full of them. Could remember it wrong, of course, but I don't think so.

I tried watching this the other day. I got about ten minutes in and got fed up of all the flashbacks and flash-forwards. I think I need to watch the series first for it to make any sense.
