[Rapier, Solo PvP] Overdrive Injector System II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Damage Control II Gyrostabilizer II
Remote Sensor Dampener II Remote Sensor Dampener II Warp Disruptor II Stasis Webifier II Stasis Webifier II 10MN MicroWarpdrive II
650mm Artillery Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP M 650mm Artillery Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP M 650mm Artillery Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP M Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
Projectile Collision Accelerator I Projectile Collision Accelerator I
Hammerhead II x3 Warrior II x2
244 DPS 5-8minute cap with everything except MWD active (which once you have them webbed, there's no reason to keep it active)
Seems... very safe to fly. Only problem is no tank to speak of, but with 2 damps and 2 webs, is that a problem though, I'd say minor.
Also, this compared to the FotM Pilgrim for solo recon - opinions?

Edited by: Burn Mac on 03/03/2009 09:53:09 You will work on a tight margin between failure and success, i reckon its quite a lot harder than soloing in a pilgrim but you on the other hand have more of a GTFO option then the pilgrim (since it wants to fight within scram range).
And yeah for the drones i whould fit for full dps Hobgobs and Hammerheads, you will need any dps you can get. The problem is that even if the ship is damped it can lock your drones and lower your dps to the level of a T2 frig.
But still... it could work, plx let me know how it worked.

The sensor damps won't even bring a BC below 20km locking so your fit only really works against frigs and cruisers, which you already didn't have any issues with unless they use drones, missiles or T2 pulses. Other fits might/will be able to take down bigger targets but only if they're turret ships, so it's all about choice.
If you only fight frigs and specific cruisers then yes it'll work nicely, personally I'd probably opt for the "any target as long as they're turret users" strategy.

Very valid point about drones dying and thus losing DPS.
Upon further consideration, there's also a big problem with active tanks. In a Pilgrim you nuet their tank to death. In a rapier you... warp away. Thus against the main target of a soloer (ratters), rapier continues to fall short.
Going to hold off bothering with this. For now a crusader can accomplish everything this ship would have been able to, at 1/3 the price.

Edited by: Yuyuko Saigyouji on 04/03/2009 14:10:01 Any Rapier fitting that doesnt fit at least 1 LSE is pretty dumb in my opinion.
I use:
Power Diagnostic System II Power Diagnostic System II Damage Control II Gyrostabilizer II
Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Warp Disruptor II Stasis Webifier II Stasis Webifier II Y-T Overcharged Hydrocarbon MWD
650mm Artillery Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP M 650mm Artillery Cannon II, Republic Fleet EMP M Heavy Missile Launcher II, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile (or 3rd 650mm Arty II, but you'll probably need a 3rd PDS instead of the Gyro/DC) Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
Core Defence Field Extender I Core Defence Field Extender I
Hammerhead II x3 Hobgoblin II x2
Less DPS, but way more staying power than your fitting.
