Rhax Minmatar	Posted - 2009.03.03 13:01:00 - [1] I used to fly a rifter with an oversized AB on it for speed-is-defence tackler giggles, and now I have an amarr pilot I was experimenting with an oversized AB fit for the lovely Crusader: [Crusader, LOL_AB_Setup] Micro 'Vigor' I Core Augmentation Micro 'Vigor' I Core Augmentation Nanofiber Internal Structure II Capacitor Power Relay II Y-S8 Hydrocarbon I Afterburners (10mn AB) Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Scorch S Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Scorch S Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Scorch S Dual Light Pulse Laser II, Scorch S Low Friction Nozzle Joints I Low Friction Nozzle Joints I It's a tight fit, but with great navigation skills and energy grid upgrades 5 it can be quite amusing flying at over 3000 m/s cap stable with a sig radius of 32m/2. Align time is a bit slow at just over 9 sec... but was wondering if this seemed to anyone to be a crazy fit, or a viable setup?? Thanks for reading

I just spotted huge holes in this setup myself (not to mention the align time - which I tried to bring down) in that the crusader is using lasers... which isn't good for neut fitted opponents And I believe the speed-is-defence thing has been nerfed since I last played... back to the drawing board I guess. Neuts aren't really so bad, here's why: If you're in the range of small and medium neuts (<12km), you're in overloaded web range anyway, and if you're outside that range, heavy neuts will still get you. I don't think you're going to find a crusader setup that doesn't say "oops if he has neuts i'm in trouble" - it's just the way ceptors work. __________________________________ Originally by: CCP Whisper Boo hoo. Crow try to do this by fitting his lows with MAPCs and I thought he might be into something until I also noticed that the warp align time was ridiculously high. Fitting a cruiser sized AB on a frigate adds a HUGE amount of mass which makes it impossible to pilot the ship effectively. Btw, the Crow died to a Sader :)
Chssmius Capital Support House of Mercury	Posted - 2009.03.03 14:26:00 - [6] According to EFT the only time the "mass" is additive is when you have the AB on, the same thing happens when you are running a 1MN MWD(just on a much smaller scale). The problem is you pretty much ALWAYS need your propulsion mod on as an interceptor, and the align time is pretty telling for how badly your agility gets screwed with the 10MN AB on. So, on the one hand, you can go almost as fast as a T1 frigate using a 1MN MWD, but without the vulnerability to warp scramblers nor the sig bloom. On the other hand, you warp in "9 loling" seconds! Holy hell, you are going to be hard pressed to turn inside of anything with that kind of agility. Plus the fact that you can conceivably be rundown by someone in a T1 frigate is just humiliating for an inty. Also, Terianna Eri's response is EPIC. Take The EvE Personality Test today!

Been reading up on the crusader too, and I haven't given up on a comedy fitting for one. Out of the box setups are fun to experiment with but not when they mean you will die horribly against any semi-competent opponent. But hey, if you got the ISK to lose go ahead :)

Crow was pants as it o nly went around 3.6 kps and thats not fast enough... doesnt handle at all the only viable ship is the claw Claw + domination ab = 4.6 kps or so withought any plate (can still fit one if u want a bit of hp) and 6 kps OVERHEATED > I made this large print beacuse unlike ur mwd which ull get one burst from before turning it off u can travel 700ks with overheat on @ 6kps before u need to turn it down. it turn like crap, but very usefull for closing distnce on snipers for ur mates to warp to u (dont bother orbitting) or running down a crow who refuses to turn. hope this helps. Was fitting a Cruor out this week and was very dissapointed at not finding any Dark Blood Gatling Pulse. Scorch works fine as well, in fact that's all i normally ever fit. Things are dead before thinking about closing to range is important. Still gives about 120 dps. --- Who is dis moses meehee they talking about ?
