Seriously, what is this s**t you call an expansion beta, a week before release?.. It hasn't even got wormhole scanning (you know, one of the biggest advertised features) sorted out yet.. and as for combat scanning? ahahahahaha.
Help you balance new content? Would love to, if we got to experience it. I managed to see a sleeper via a wormhole last night. Now the wormholes gone and scannings broke.. joy. Oh and the new gas clouds didn't have graphics. Retail customers are going to love that first patch aren't they (considering when the dvd would have been finalised)
Alpha, Beta, RC..call it what you want, this code is NOT ready for primetime in a week. We should be finding the little issues, rather then sitting here stuck in wormhole space unable to get out. The sheer amount of little bugs that are going unnoticed because the major features aren't working has got to be astonishing.
Eve is going to become a 23*6 day game because Tuesdays will be patch nights for god knows how long fixing up this mess. Whoever ran this project is going to face a very rough 6 months explaining the issues, and the next "expansion" is going to be nothing but a "service pack" for this one.
Or perhaps we should just call this EvE - Vista for all the good marketing it will generate. Of course there's always the possibility everything will be fine by Tuesdaahahahahaha

oo and before everyones goes "its test code"... I would have expected the devs to test the basics like probing, before releasing this (and every other) patch.

You do know, that the test server isn't loaded with everything... Raging/trolling solves nothing...

probing worked last night. It doesn't tonight. It's been on and off since the first tests went out. That's not test code not having it all, thats test code just not working and someone managing to break something else each time they fix another problem.
As mentioned, how are we supposed to test sleepers, T3, T3 manufacture, worm hole mechanics etc when it's been nigh on impossible to even experience this stuff first hand?
As for the probe box thingo, it just smells like hacked up pos mod anchoring code (and in fact WAS that for a while), and so I can't help but think this is nothing but dodgy hack jobs around existing code because noone has a clue in regards to legacy coding (see wallboards and background images.. CCP have admitted to not knowing how the original stuff was done)

Ever noticed how Devs say thinks like 'This is fixed internally'? Even notice how they usually say that about a bug they are telling you about thats in the latest release? Ever wondered how they already know its there and have corrected it in their code ?
I very much doubt that the Devs hit the compile button then post a patch.
Yes, Scanning has gone back and forth from working to broken to laughable to working. The features added since the first Apocrypha client was released are huge in terms of reworking the system.
Will M10 be hassle free? No Will Apocrypha be bug free? No Will they have a viable client ready to roll out on M10? You can just about count on it.
I say Well Done for all the hard work, it's looking great.

Bugs are not the problem, probably most stuff is consistent in internal builds. Even if I agree is terrible we can't test it on SISI yet 7 days from the release.
The really terrible thing about this patch is how useless T3 ships are and their 'balance', because most of the patch is around that feature, and without them being worth it we could careless about w-space (wellcome lowsec mk.II), T3 industry (wellcome boosters mk.II) and well, T3 ships (wellcome our new SB/Black-Ops mk.II overlords), sleepers or whatever (and don't get me started on unexistent epic lolmissions archs).
An other great idea (and the basics code and mechanics are there allready afterall) ruined by CCP I guess, despite that, EVE, as allways, will continue.

Uhm, T3 ships are fully functional in FD-MLJ, Wormholes work, sometimes the GM's move groups, or you grab a gang of players(what I did) T3 Manufacturing, I think you need the parts from FD, I'm not sure. Or get an alt, or your main to haul a bunch of useless stuff and make a POS somewhere and do it there.
And stop your whining and leave then.

Noone expects bug free, but gees it would have been nice to have the new mechanics working by now, don't you think?
The only saving grace will be someone from CCP saying they have multiple internal builds and that code that is fixed in one, is not on the other and they alternate compiles, but that just doesn't make sense.

Second:

Retail customers are obviously going to get the Quantum Rise version on their discs. Their client will auto patch like everyone elses.
Third: As for everything else - well, just wait and see. You have a right to be angry IF AND ONLY IF it turns out there are major omissions / bugs in the final release of Apocrypha.
Until then, all anger is not only unjustified, but makes you look like a petulant child.
Finally: Please actually find out what the word constructive means in the context of criticism

Its the crack about vista at the end that makes me realise the op probably just came down off his lunchtime sugar high. Weren't you told by mummuy this morning to keep the toys in the pram and avoid too many sweets?
Anyway, on a serious note the current build on sisi is of course not rady for "primetime" as he puts it. That's why people are busy submitting bug reports and the devs are busy, ooh, developing the game.

Hey, I hope I'm wrong. I am yet to see a sign I will be. Don't you think a week before release we should be in the final stages of "haha what a silly bug"

I see you've never ever bought any other MMO in a box (or GTA IV).
I suppose it will hurt you poor little 14.4 connection to AOL 2.5

Er... everyone has to download the patch.
I'm not exactly sure what genius alternative patch-delivery system you propose (which doesn't involve downloading), but as soon as you've figured it out, you should get a patent on it, as its BOUND to be ground breaking.
Sarcasm, eh? Well, if you're not going to succeed in making it amusing, at least learn to do it properly.
Incidentally. You still look like a petulant child.
