Anyway please could we move the downtime away from 11-12 GMT which over the summer (in the UK at least) is right over lunchtime when you might fancy a bit of a flight around the universe while you have your lunch. Why not do it earlier in the morning? Also, if you start playing late morning half the time you think "oh, i cant be bothered to get into it because soon I will have to log off for the shutdown"

Cutter John	Posted - 2004.08.13 01:32:00 - [11] dt has to be sometime.. they based the time on keeping it off peak hours for the maximum number of people, and the time at which there are the most people present in the office to handle any issues that may come up. unless of course they specifically put it at that time to bug you.... Siolorin	Posted - 2004.08.13 05:22:00 - [13] I think it's pretty clear to everyone that the current downtime is the best time. Just look at the statistics: from 7am to 8am EST, there is no one playing EVE. I'd say that this is, therefore, the best time for the downtime.

I vote to keep the dt as it is I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century.
