Glad to hear that. Liberty... well it had potential, major error was too much too fast, the alliance hadnt sollidified yet and in Pure Blind it was just a matter of time before getting booted. What started off as some random gatecamping and roaming gangs ended up pos spamming, jumpbridging etc... everything was organized on the spot. We never got a real chance to think ahead.
We needed at least a couple of months to get really organized... hence we barely got to properly support our allies Scorched Earth and Penumbra. (which turned out was one of the reasonse we lost them as allies and them believing some random NC rumor..) The bottomline was we learnt ALOT. Not many corporations get the chance to run an alliance and deal with an operation of that magnitude.
Once we lost our space (and temporarily our purpose) the alliance slowly slid downhill and the remaining alliance leadership did not have the energy or willingness to rebuild what took 8 months to build and 2 weeks to destroy... The reality is that if you are not part of one of the major powerhouses in Eve it is very very hard to hold your own out there.
What is for sure, is that IF I ever get in the position of leading an alliance into 0.0 I would approach matters completely different. Hopefully by that time gamemechanics will not have caught up with me..
We had fun and I know for sure alot of others did too!
