With the changes to lowsec ratting (introduction of NPC battleships) we were also promised a change in 0.0 spawns.
Anybody has any idea if the change is in yet or what it is exactly?

i heard they were going to get a slight AI boost or something to that affect. maybe that means a slight increase in bounties, don't know though.

here is what i think should happen Low sec to 1.1m max areas that were 950k should go 1.25m ( providence syndicate) 1.25m areas to 1.5m 1.55m areas to 1.7m 1.7m areas to 1.9m 2.1m stays the same

The new setup seems to be in effect already. My corp's home system is a 0.4 sec system in gallante space with serpentis rats. In TQ as of right now, the biggest rat you can hope for is a 80k cruiser (excluding elites). I have seen a couple of 500k serpentis BS's in the same system on SISI but they are extremely rare. The normal spawns are no different from what they are on TQ currently. No data here really, but as a rough guess, if you rat the system to peak level, 1 BS will spawn in one of the groups. That means you may wipe out the rats in all 20 or so belts 2-3 times before you get one and it will be just one BS.
I haven't tested other systems so I can't comment on lower or higher sec. 0.0 seems to have no changes currently but I haven't spent as much time there on either TQ or SISI.

Personally i would like to see lowsec to be like 0.0 with a truesec of 0.0 to -0.3 and every 0.0 system scale from -0.4 to -1.0.

Edited by: Heikki on 06/03/2009 15:06:59 Don't know distribution for lowsec, or poor 0.0, but good 0.0 (i.e -1.00 and any NPC (Sansha) sov system), has following frequencies:
Might be useful as comparision value. Excludes any special (faction) spawns. Average total bounty size of a spawn is 1438M, with 50% being having total less than 1M.
Group 1: Bounty - Chance 195 - 9.4% 205 - 9.4% 215 - 9.1% 225 - 7.8% 270 - 0.9% 285 - 0.8% 300 - 1.4% 315 - 0.8% 330 - 1.4% 345 - 0.4% 360 - 1.1% 375 - 0.8% 500 -12.0% (first Battleship) 650 - 9.2% 800 - 6.9% 950 - 5.6% 1100 - 5.6% 1250 - 5.1% 1400 - 3.5% 1550 - 4.3% 1700 - 2.3% 1850 - 2.2%
Group 2: Bounty - Chance 12 - 13.0% 13 - 13.8% 21 - 14.3% 22 - 13.9% 27 - 2.8% 28 - 1.7% 30 - 1.7% 32 - 1.5% 33 - 1.3% 34 - 1.3% 36 - 0.6% 38 - 1.7% 80 - 6.8% 88 - 6.0% 95 - 4.4% 102 - 3.1% 110 - 4.8% 118 - 4.2% 195 - 0.9% 205 - 0.7% 215 - 0.6% 225 - 0.9% 270 - 0.1% 300 - 0.1%
Relates to statistics mentioned in NPCing thread. Sample size 1554 spawns.
